Such a cute place for wine tasting! Had a Groupon for flights for two with a cheese plate and a hummus plate and two glasses of wine. Totally impressed by the wines, the food, and the staff. Highly recommend if you're in Ventura.

Great food and wine. They also host many craft nights where you can enjoy making something with friends and having some wine and good food.

Nice spot for wine and munchies. Great selection of cheeses. Call first to ensure they are open (we looked hours up online and went over for lunch, only to find them closed)

Hidden away from it all in an industrial center, we would have never discovered this little hole in the wall if not for a groupon coupon.
Once you come inside from the nondescript exterior of the industrial building you find a very cute set up. A large room decorated to resemble a stylish tack room. Tables, a wine bar, large screen tv, and jukebox add to the ambiance.
We arrived at 4:40 ish and there were only a couple of people at the large tables, but an hour later the place started to fill. By 6:00 when we left the joint was packed with a friendly crowd enjoyed glasses of win and conversing. The owner was nice enough, as we tried to converse and make small talk at the bar.
We are glad we found this wine cellar, because it is so out of the way it would have not been on our radar without the groupon.
Give it a try, but check their hours, as they are not open late, and like others have said the menu is very limited. I can vouch for the cheese plate which as filling, and perfect with our wine tasting.

Debbie, the owner of Gone West is your wine specialst and host for a fantastic night out with the girls! She is personable and enjoys conversations with everyone. They have a limited menu for meals but it is beyond excellent treats! This place is a fantastic spot to get local California wines!

This place is adorable on the inside (think pinterest crazy)! The owner was incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Most of the wines are not her own but ones she loves from local vineyards that aren't sold in stores. This was fabulous because we tasted wines from farther north without making the drive. She routinely changes up which wines and beers she tastes/samples. She has a good price point. She understands the reality/importance of finding a good wine ranging from $10-$20 whereas a lot of local wineries charge much more. Don't let the random location deter you from visiting. This place is a gem and we will be back next time we are in town visiting family. We actually bought cases of wine to serve at our upcoming wedding!
