The Neon is more than a movie theater. It is a community oriented business. It does bring in the best movies in an inviting and intimate atmosphere. The Neon supports the Dayton community in too many ways to list. Visit their website. You will be impressed.

The Neon is the BEST movie theater in Dayton, OH. It is the most enjoyable and pleasant moviegoing experience one can have from start to finish...purchase tickets on-line, great location, free parking across the street, sanitized, deodorized to include a highspeed air filtration for cleanliness, charming manager/staff, great prices and the selection of movies is superb ! Sidebar, I highly recommend the Virtual Cinema for those who may be reluctant to venture out.

The vibe is friendly and hip. Small and intimate. Where else can you get free parking downtown? Seats comfortable but theater was a bit dusty inside.

Went with friends to this very nice movie theatre in downtown Dayton.
Very good seating with an expanded concession services. 2 nice sized theatres.

We love this theater and the variety of movies that come through! Great gem in Dayton! They have phenomenal drinks and coffee to enjoy during the movies. The theaters themselves are small and reminiscent of what movie theaters used to be.

Love this little gem! Park across the street. They serve adult beverages, coffees, light snacks etc. the chairs are comfy and nice! The documentary had subtitles on some frames. Very informative on a wonderful inspirational Pope!

We love the Neon. We have been going there quite a bit lately catching up on Oscar nominated films. Love their selection at the concession stand (but bring back Reese’s Peanutbutter cups please) and Jonathan is always a welcome sight.

I started going to the Neon Theater as the first film that I saw was "The Artist" in January 2012 as I am going into my sixth anniversary as a patron. The manager and staff are delightful as they are always engaging and pleasant. The concessions to include specialty brewed coffee drinks and libations are inexpensive. The new seating system is comfortable. More importantly, the selection of independent films is superb !

I have lived in large urban areas in the Southwest US, in Los Angeles, and in the Midwest. As I each of these areas, I sought out theaters that played the type of films which I enjoy most; films that require more of you than "voyeurism," and which, in exchange for that engagement, touch you deeply.
I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to experience some truly wonderful independent / art house theaters in my time (I am 58 years old), and I only share all this to tell you that The Neon is a gem of national level quality.
From the management and staff, to the location / venue itself, to the refreshments, to the wondrous tapestry of films that The Neon brings to midwestern Ohio, it is a first-class operation that rivals any in the country.
It's great for those of us who have attended The Neon for many years to see the growth in business over time, and to see more people come into contact with films like the ones that are shown there.
If you have been to The Neon, you could yourself speak in volumes about what I'm sharing here. If you haven't yet been to The Neon, you need to run - don't walk - there as soon as possible.
Perhaps you, too, can experience what I will be yet again this very Friday; the opening of another film that I have been awaiting with such excitement (Faces Places), because I just KNOW that it's going to be wonderful.
That kind of "knowing" and excitement happens around The Neon a lot.
You should join in.

Love this theater, great movie picks and super friendly staff. Comfortable seating and excellent sound system. When in Dayton on business I'm always sure to check this place out!
