It was more of a spontaneous ride for us but it was worth it. The trolley's fare is $1 per passenger and there is a donation box if you feel generous. We did not do the whole ride so unsure how much time it would take to complete the ride. I would say around an hour. The trolley runs at the edge of the Columbia River, it is an enjoyable scenery. The trolley is in good condition and clean, with no smell. There is two person (sorry forgot their names; one of them was Frank if I remember correctly) running the trolley, one of them drives and another gentleman provides information about different landmarks that comes in the way. They were wonderful. They also have some decently priced souvenirs inside which you can purchase with cash on your way out. I would recommend that it is definitely a must if you are in Astoria for the first time.

Great day in Astoria on the riverfront and local shops. The trolley along the waterfront was inexpensive, but got crowded in late afternoon.

The worst service today we stood there and waited for 1.5hrs for 2 round and it came back with full people they took our money and then told us there's no room we would have to stand. The don't let people off the train once they come back it's ridiculous people with small children waited for over 1hr and then it came back all.full again people don't get off after riding it over and over
We waited for nothing and they took our money and left us without ride! the WORST SERVICE!!!

Astoria is a really nice little town that has a lot to offer. The trolley is just one good one. If you see it, wave a dollar bill and it will stop and pick you up for a ride.

This was so much fun, and the volunteer conductor was so kind to my kids. I can't believe it's so inexpensive to ride! It would be nice to not allow dogs though, because it's a small space and the dog poop that happened was a smelly bummer.

I didn't think it would be running as it was a weekday in early April (brrr). But this was the first visit of a cruise ship to the port in years, and the enthusiastic volunteers got it going despite some rain (normally doesn't run in the rain either). Informative and picturesque. Well worth it!!

What wonderful experience. We hopped on the restored hundred plus year old trolley at the beginning of the route and rode it round trip. A motorman drives, clang clanging and ringing the bell (shades of Judy Garland) while the conductor gives a wonderful history of the town, the waterfront, old buildings, and wharf. Fred told us the history of the trolley, originally from St. Louie, (more shades of Garland) and answered every question asked about Astoria and its history. The ride was VERY EXPENSIVE!! One dollar per person. Along the route, people would wave their dollar and the trolley would stop so they could board. Don't miss this treat.

Needed a break from walking and this was the ticket! The tour guide had everyone laughing. It didn’t feel like an hour ride. It was comfortable and masks were required. Volunteers operating in donations only.

Il trenino porta a fare un breve giro lungo il riverfront cittadino, niente di esaltante, ma comunque una cosa simpatica da fare per pochi dollari. Lungo le rotaie il vagone scorre lentamente passando tra gli edifici industriali a momenti con il panorama sulla baia.

Hi! I just called the Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria concerning your question about the Trolley. I was told it usually starts running in March with no guarantee it will be running on April 26-28 2019 it all depends if the construction they have going on some bridge would be completed by then.
