There are numerous restaurants in Baltimore's Little Italy - several are excellent! Germano's has found an excellent niche by offering good Italian food combined with wonderful entertainment. I've especially enjoyed Gary Rubin!

Little Italy meets New Orleans. Dinner was a fixed menu selections but strangely almost no pasta on the menu. Food was ok but not spectacular. Wine was by the bottle and pricey for the selection. But what make this a place you MUST go to is the support of the local music scene. This night was the Kings of Crownsville a local Jazz group that is sort of the house band and play at Germanao's almost monthly. Did the food blow us away no, did the overall evening make for a great time yes. This may be more like a 3.5-4 star but food choice and pricing brings it down. Go for the FUN!!!!

Listened to a local mandolin trio and had just appetizer and drinks. Wonderful intimate venue. Music was terrific. While I did not have a full meal, others at my table did and raved about the food. A unique Baltimore experience. I see a couple of other shows on Germano's schedule that I plan to attend. Lovely evening.

First, I must say the decor of the restaurant was warm and inviting. We arrived on a cold windy day and the atmosphere was cozy. Our waitress, Melissa, was friendly and wanted to make sure our experience was positive. She checked back often and you could tell she enjoyed her job.
Since we were there for brunch my children ordered the French toast which was exceptionally good. My husband raved about the soup. I would recommend the restaurant and hope everyone enjoys the experience as much as we did.

I had an incredible meal at the Cabaret and the service was fantastic! Prosciutto and pecorino from the charcuterie to begin. Then, I had the red beet ravioli for dinner. I finished my meal with their italian cheesecake made on the premises. It was to die for!

My neighbor and I visited last night. We were there to see Laurette Hankins-O'Connor. She was very funny. The show tunes were fantastic. The pianist was superb. Upon entering there seemed to be three areas. One quaint bar was downstairs. There is a high staircase leading to two dining areas upstairs. The area to the left is where the live entertainment is held with plenty of dining tables (2 and 4 party seating). The rest rooms are also on this floor. I had the small lasagna and Caesar salad. The food was very delicious. The waitress was very accommodating. The Caesar salad took me by surprise. The salad wasn't chopped. There were hunks of romaine lettuce with dressing and thin slices of cheese. The prices were very reasonable. I expected to walk away with a $40 bill. It was only half that. As I said the food was delicious. The food seemed to melt with the slicing of the knife and fork. As delicious as the food was, I got really sick (I didn't have to go the ER thank the Lord) from it a few hours after eating it. I would definitely attend the venues here, but will not eat there again. Everyone at this restaurant was extremely nice. I did not see an elevator. If that is a concern, you may want to call the restaurant if members of your party can not do the stairs (there were quite of bit of them).

The music was great. Nice treat and real change, to have a place to hear live affordable music. The atmosphere, was odd. The patrons spoke through most of the performance which made it hard to hear their set. This was upsetting, as one pays extra for the talent. I don't mind paying at all for the quality talent they had on this particular night, but the management never made mention about being courteous to the performers to the crowd that obviously needed reminding. The Food was decent. However, it came out at different times, and was really hit or miss depending on what you ordered. The pasta dishes were good-spaghetti vongole, well made, good sauce and portion. The tortellini was over cooked, and caked in oil, the pork was served cold. The dessert they offered had ran out. So overall the dining experience was not the best. The talent was stellar. My advice, if you are going for the show, eat beforehand somewhere else and just order wine and apps while there. Good selection of affordable wine.

The waiter made excellent suggestions from a pitcher of wine to main entrees. We walked around the area looking at each of the menus and Germano's had the most selection and was priced right. The waiter was excellent, personable and made great recommendation. The food was good and portions large enough to share. Enjoyed my dinner there very much sorry I was not there for a cabaret night. Convenient walk from inner harbor hotels.

I really want to go here when I am in Baltimore later this month but I can't get them to respond to emails or phone messages. It's too bad because our time is so limited (there for a conference) and we need to plan.

We are just delighted to have " discovered" Germano's Trattoria. A comparable evening in New York would have cost hundreds of dollars. Our dinner was delicious and the singer Brooke Evers divine! We highly recommend this spot to our fellow Baltimoreans as well as our visitors.
