Bill was absolutely fantastic! So patient and helpful and knows so much about the history of Baltimore. We had the best time and will absolutely do it again!

We love to Segway and this was a great laid back, yet very informative tour. Our guide was half our age but he was very knowledgeable. This Segway tour was a wonderful way for us to see the sights in the couple hours we were in the area. I highly recommend Segs in the City.

Highly recommend this tour. 4 adults zipping around downtown Baltimore with a guide giving directions and nuggets of information via radio headsets. 3 had previous segway experience, one was a newbie, but it only took a few minutes to get comfortable on the segs. Our guide spent more than the allocated 90 minutes, and we felt the tour was well worth the money, and he earned the additional guide tip.
Looking forward to going to DC and try their segway tour, same company.

Wir fanden die Segwaytour in Baltimore nicht so spannend. Die Stadt an sich ist ganz nett, es fehlt ihr aber an den großen Highlights. Wir waren eine Vierer Gruppe, bestehend aus zwei deutschen und zwei amerikanischen Touristinnen. Unser Guide hat sich viel und leider schnell mit den Amerikanerinnen unterhalten und uns hauptsächlich die Restaurantsszene erläutert. Die Fahrt an sich war mir persönlich auch viel zu langsam. Wir führen die ganze Zeit im Hasenmodus, obwohl mehr drin gewesen wäre.
Würde ich auf keinen Fall weiter empfehlen.

This was an excellent downtown tour of the inner harbor. The operation itself is “bare bones” run out of an old garage that does not have a bathroom, so you best hit one at one of the restaurants across the street. But it accomplishes what you came for: a Segway, helmet and guide. We wore earpieces so we could easily hear our guide (Evan?). It was a nice tour as we went up to the stop of federal hill and stopped for pictures and eventually made our way to the trendy Fells Point neighborhood on the water. Highly recommended.

This tour clearly states on the website that its 90 minutes long. We did the 2:30 tour and it was over by 3:30. The tour was fine but wish we actaully got what we paid for. Probably wouldn't use them again.

There were 5 of us. 1 15-year old, 3 16-year olds and the grandfather on the Baltimore tour. 3 of us had been on the Annapolis segway tour last year and really enjoyed it.
The Baltimore tour was even better. Beautiful sights, especially federal hill and fells point. Our tour guide taught the two new riders how to ride the segway in minutes, and they were able to complete the 90+ minutes without any difficulty. Our guide was always watching out for our safety at intersections. He was knowledgeable explaining interesting aspects of the ride. Looking forward to the Washington DC tour next year.

My wife and I enjoyed this Segway tour. Evan was a great guide and gave us the "experienced riders" version of the tour, as we both have been on Segway tours before. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the areas we went to and also recommended some places to visit and eat. All in all, it was definitely worth the time and money.

[This review is based on one tour with Segs in the City (Baltimore) that occurred at 2:30PM on Sunday May 28th during intermittent rain showers]
Segs in the City provides a very good ninety-minute overview of Baltimore including Fell’s Point, the Inner Harbor and Federal Hill. The tour begins with signing a waiver, selecting a helmet and testing out an earpiece/radio unit. Then the guide brings you through a training session for new riders. The directions were excellent and the training session moved at a reasonably fast pace.
The tour itself covered much of the Inner Harbor with the most popular destinations for visitors. A highlight was the portion on Federal Hill with its sweeping views of the city. The tour travels along sidewalks and bike paths which offer a smooth ride and opportunities to travel at a faster speed. There are a few sections where you ride over cobblestones, and you just need to be careful and keep momentum.
Our guide was considerate, very thorough with instructions and had an upbeat attitude. His knowledge of the city was strong but the tour was, overall, light on history. The experience was fun, but more historical insights would have left me with a greater appreciation for the city while increasing the sense of value.
The booking process is very straightforward and the digital communication was timely and relevant. Keep in mind that the tours are conducted rain or shine, but they do provide ponchos should it rain.
The operation is very casual, so do not expect some pristine welcoming center with snazzy facilities for riders. The operation is run out of a large garage on a side street that can be hard to find, so allow extra time. Also, there are no bathrooms available in the garage, so riders are directed to a nearby bar. Make sure you use the bathroom before the tour as there is no stopping during the tour.
Segs in the City is a fun way to explore Baltimore as a visitor to the city for the first time. As a rider you are made to feel safe and well looked after. You are able to cover a lot of ground and I highly recommend that you begin your visit to Baltimore with Segs so you can orientate yourself to the city. Overall a very good experience.

We had a good tour of Baltimore near inner harbor. Our host was knowledgeable and funny. Only one drawback was that he didn't often err on the side of caution. I found myself waiting back with my wife to be sure oncoming traffic actually saw us and was stopping. He was young. Not a big deal.

Is there any age limit for Segway tour ? Heard only above 18 can go on this tour? I have 16 yr old , 13 yr and 10 yr old kids who would love to go on this tour !

Age: There is a minimum age of 16 in DC and 14 in MD, PA - mandated by local legislation.
This seems to exclude your 13 and 10 yr olds... (
