Accomodated large group. Everyone enjoyed the service e they received. But pricey for services. The robes were soft & good bubbley

recently visited the pearl spa ritz carlton after receiving a gift card from a friend decided to take my fiance for a romantic relaxing spa day.. much to my surprise it was anything but relaxing or romatic..i added the champagne and strawberries for our tub soak... we did not receive any of the above we were seated seperatly in the lounges and received cold brownies and apple cider which were charged for! because they were out of champagne and strawberries( which the spa attendent says happens frequently) and didnt receive our tub soak! all of our services ran behind and we were left waiting in seperate rooms and left waiting for almost fourty five minutes!!! this to me was neither relaxing or romantic!!! when asked at the desk how the services were i spoke my mind... i was then offered free services upon our next visit but i would have to pay today???? this is unacceptable for what is supposed to be a ritz calton five star establishment!!! our day should have been right from the start.. im very disapointed!! I declined free services because i will not ever go back!!!

3 girlfriends in Baltimore for a long weekend. We really hadn't planned on spa-going, but one of us wanted a new haircut. We had no luck finding a salon downtown, so called here on advice from the concierge. we were able to make a friday nite appt.
The spa is located in the ritz residences, a short cabride from the harbor area. we therefore expected hoity-toity and excessively expensive-but it was neither. but do realize it is not a ritz hotel-there is neither bar nor restaurant to hang out in.
the other 2 of us thought we'd sit in the salon waiting area. but the staff insisted on showing us the spa and having us wait in the spa lounge. we were offered wine, champagne, fruit and brownies (oh-so good) while we reclined in chaises. they wrote down restaurant suggestions. i was so impressed i scheduled a massage for the following day. my friend enjoyed her haircut, which came with scalp treatment.
when i arrived the next morning, i also scheduled mini-facial and haircut. all the services were outstanding, and i took advantage of their december specials, and discount for hilton guests, so the cost was fairly tame.
ive been to many well-known spas (eg breakers, miraval, canyon ranch), and i have never been treated anywhere as attentively. it is this attention that truly makes one feel pampered and i will definitely return whenever i am in town.
