Worth a visit if you like tattoos! It is short, but definitely interesting. My boyfriend was able to get a nice tattoo same day too.

If you’re expecting a full “museum experience” you’ll be disappointed but on the first level of the shop you could spend a long time looking at all the designs and historical items. My boyfriend and I got tattoos from Tory and Elvis. We are both so so happy with how they came out- my first one! We headed around the corner to Handlebar Cafe after for a drink and burrito. Great Baltimore evening!

I visited Baltimore Tattoo Museum for my first tattoo after several friends recommended it. I came on a Saturday as a walk-in and was greeted by a welcoming receptionist who thoroughly answered all of my questions and provided advice. Understandably, I was nervous, but the staff were helpful and supportive. The artist who did my tattoo was friendly and made conversation during the process to ease my nerves. I love how my tattoo turned out and the price was just right. Highly recommend!

I am a photography student and a tattoo enthusiast. Everything about this destination was graphically appealing, the exhibits and tattoo history inspired me to get a tattoo myself. The work that Chris did for my subject was outstanding. The staff was all very professional and very friendly. Great place.

Well the artwork on display was ok but was seriously considering looking into getting a tattoo and well the spot isn't that clean. Was disappointed.

Not really a museum like you think. It's really just a large tattoo shop that has a few newspaper articles on the wall. Other than that, its a shop with a bunch of flash art on the walls. The guys working there were friendly and social.

My mom and I were here over 10 years ago. We were in Baltimore for other reasons and decided to visit since we both have tattoos. I enjoyed the "museum" part, just containing old equipment! We both got matching tats before we left, and I would have to say... the ink has still not faded and I have had no allergic reaction like I did to my 6 tats prior. My mom is in remission from cancer and we want to go on another vaca and get matching cancer tats and this was the first place I considered!!!

This was a waste of time to drive out there expecting a museum quality Tattoo Museum to find a tattoo parlor with just a few articles and pictures on the wall. They need to take this place OFF THE MAP as a landmark for tourists to visit!!
We were on vacation and all five of us together probably have over 110+ hours under the needle, very intricate one of a kind, original art pieces done by master artists. My daughters back piece alone was 18+ hours. We went there very excited and expecting to see other works of art, other pictures, master designs, old tools, machines, different styles from different parts of the world, tribal and forbidden to homemade and banished. What they used back in the 1800's and a steady show of the progression of the art ... You know, things you would find in a MUSEUM!!!
This was by NO MEANS a museum and was completely misleading. We walked into a rundown tattoo parlor with a few articles on the wall, a couple of old business cards and a glass case with a couple of guns. I was totally irritated that I had to pay for parking and walk 3 blocks in 30 degree weather to see what I could have seen at 10 tattoo shops in my own home town.

This place isn't terribly for quality, etc. but it's certainly not the best. A nose ring that we tried to get here was 50 dollars, I believe, where elsewhere the same thing was 20 or 30. Sure, go once to see the tiny "museum" part, but other than that, this place is just a lot of hype.
Try Read Street tattoo parlor - also a bit pricey, but cheaper than here, and more quality.
