This arena can’t compete with the new, shiny Coliseums in major cities throughout the country, but it’s decent and it works on many fronts. Staging for concerts and seating for athletic events is excellent with no obstructed views. It’s small and cozy and the acoustics are wonderful. The only drawbacks are the limited concessions and restrooms, particularly when it’s a packed house. I also don’t like the fact that the decor is all black, but it’s not a big deal, just an observation. But, most importantly, it’s clean, compact and serves the purpose for now.

Absolutely horrible experience! Open marijuana smoking to the point I couldn’t breathe. Security/management does absolutely nothing about it. I’ve never been to a venue like this in my life!

When my daughter got tickets to Disney On Ice for my grandchildren, I must admit I was kind of skeptical about how the Royal Farms Arena would look. I mean, I used to go to AHL hockey and NBA basketball back in the Sixties. I saw the Grateful Dead their twice, and watched my son's soccer team play before a Baltimore Blast game.
I must say that the Arena looked pretty good. It certainly brought back memories, and yet it looked fairly updated.

For musical acts, they usually close off the section behind the band so everyone has at least a partial view. The seats in the stands are still fairly far away from the actual stage, but the sound is plenty loud enough.

My cousin and I went to the the Jeff Dunham show Saturday night. It’s been over 20 years since I’ve been here. It was ok still the same place just a different name. The bathroom was clean. The arena seemed nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Concessions were expensive. Food was average.

The arena is old but with renovations over the years it does not show it's age. It is comfortable and small. A great place to see a concert. The star of the show for me during my visit was the staff. They were all super friendly and very accomodating. I would not hesitate to return.

We were there for a conference in the main arena area. The venue is very attractive and very clean. Seats are a little tight (less knee room) than other arenas and coliseums we have been in. But the seats were very comfortable. The security is well run and the staff is very gracious. The big down side was the cost of food. Two soft pretzels and two drinks ran $20.

I take my grandson to the Monster Jam show and the Car shows. The food is a little expensive but it's for the kids and they like to buy souvenirs.

Went here to see a Joe Rogan comedy show. Had an amazing time at the show, but the venue needs some work. Chairs were pretty uncomfortable but it not enough to ruin it, however it was incredibly understaffed. The lines were long and barely moving. You were lucky if there was more than one register open. They were constantly running out of everything as well. This is my only experience at this venue so I don't know if it's always like this, but if so they need to work on that. If I ever have to attend something here again I'll be sure to get there at least an hour in advance, even though we were pretty early anyways.

Try the Pratt Street Ale House. Just a couple of blocks from the Arena. Outdoor seating, good food and atmosphere. Others nearby, plenty to do if you arrive early. Have fun!

The Raddison Baltimore Downtown/Inner Harbor is across the street. We stayed there when we attended an event at the arena for that reason and were happy with our choice.

Yes there are several hotels but downtown Baltimore is very unsafe so be careful.

Performers are aware that audience members are on 3 sides, there really isn't a front. We were on the end and it was an ok view, the sides would be closer to the animals. I would say closer to the end with seating than the other end would give a better view.
