If you are interested in war history, weapons, tanks, etc. You will definitely find this museum interesting.

I've been to the museum several times when it was open. It closed a few years ago and moved all the tank and exhibits to Fort Lee, VA. Its a great museum but will not reopen in Aberdeen PG. If you go by now all you see is an empty field.

Army ordinance on display from world war 2 as well as Modern weapons (note:this is an Army insulation you must stop and get pass u will need photo I'd as well as insurance into its painless no cost there is a gift shop with models of some of the tanks and such and if you are Military the commissary as well as base exchange is a block away as well it's a great place to view the old History of World war 2 as most items are outside in full view for photos and view Donations accepted there is a Burger king just down from the museum Enjoy...rustynail.rbrj@gmail

Military weapons, tanks, lots of war history. Only downside is getting on post. Check before you go.

The US Army Ordnance Musuem was located in Aberdeen, MD at Aberdeen Proving Ground, about 45 minutes northeast of the city. It is one of the finest collections of military weapons and vehicles in the US. However, the museum has closed on APG and is moving to Ft Lee, just south of Richmond, VA. The museum will re-open in its new location in 2012.

Hi, A reviewer in July 2015 says the Museum is permanently closed. Yet another in Oct. 2016 says it's an "interesting museum." Is it interesting or is it closed? We were planning a trip down but don't want to go all the way down to see an empty field or get turned around by the gate guard. LMK. Thanks!
