Dave was the most kindest, and amazing person to ever enjoy this experience with. I Was completely terrified to tried but he walked me through and I have never felt so alive. Best experience ever! Will definitely be doing this again… Dave you are the man!

What a fantastic experience flying over Lake Havasu! Dave made me feel confident in him and the entire experience soaring over Havasu was superb! His landing on the water 💧 was smooth too!

Let me preface this with - I get motion sick, easily. So I was a little concerned my pre-flight excited, nervous queasiness might escalate. That fear was immediately vanquished upon sitting in the copilot seat. Besides closely monitoring all weather conditions, Dave explained everything with confidence and an emphasis on his top priority: Safety. We easily communicated via headphones and mouthpiece as he performed maneuvers, described protocols and answered questions. I felt completely at ease, enjoying the magnificent Elliott Bay and Seattle skyline views, with a refreshing breeze on my face. On top of that feeling of exhilarating joy, I received a flight lesson, an opportunity to take the controls, a certificate card and a GoPro flight video of my experience!
An incredible, extra special experience was climbing high, up toward blue sky and puffy clouds, then leveling and cutting the engine to quietly, slowly glide down. So Awesome. The engine restarted on demand but even if it hadn’t, no worries! We’d just continue gliding down to an easy, safe water landing.
I could do this everyday and hoped to go again the next day. Unfortunately the weather took a windy, stormy turn so I’ll have to wait until Amphibian Air’s next PNW visit.
Dave loves to share his passion and ignite the same in others. I’m definitely a top fan of Mello Yellow, pilot Dave and his right hand gal, Susie. They’re friendly, funny and SAFE!
Don’t hesitate! Go fly away with Amphibian Air! 🐸

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I'm also happy your motion sickness was not an issue. It pleases me how people feel at ease flying in Mello Bird and are able to take in the beauty of the surrounding area while experiencing the joy of flying like a bird. I look forward to next time.

So first, let me preface this by stating I have a huge fear of heights!! I couldn’t believe I was actually going to do this!! However, Dave is so knowledgeable and patient, he put all my fears to rest. He went over every step and what to expect. It was by far the most incredible experience!! It was epic and surreal, and today, a fear was conquered!! Dave talked to me while in the air, and I felt completely safe and comfortable. My teen daughter went up after me, and I was so happy we could share this experience together! Highly recommend!! Just do it!! Thanks so much Dave & Susie for the experience of a lifetime 💕

The flight experience was amazing! The views were great and the instructor was friendly and very informative! Definitely once in a lifetime chance to get to fly. Our group had a blast!

Wow! As soon as we saw this ‘thing’ in the sky, we were wildly curious. Dave was THE best and gave our kids (ages 8-13) an experience they’ll never forget. Everyone on the beach was smiling as we watched the ‘flying trike’ zoom by waving as they took in views of Priest Lake like never before. Dave’s confidence and great energy made us feel safe and inspired. Thank you again, Dave! Keep spreading the joy.

Thank you for the great review! The honor and privilege to share this amazing type of flying with young people is incredibly rewarding. I hope someday I meet someone that tells me they became a pilot because of their first flight with Amphibian Air. That will be circle of life joy for me!!

I went with my sister while we were visiting Bigfork, Montana. Dave responded fast and we were able to set a flight time immediately. We really appreciated Dave’s safety practices and his communication with the steps to get up in the air. It was great to be flying above Flathead Lake. A bald eagle flew past me, which was pretty neat. We would do it again.

David is a great knowledgeable pilot, the flight was awesome, I have been in different types of aircraft but this one by far is my best experience, I recommend it to anyone who wants to do something unique.

Awesome experience flying with Dave. I learned all about the aircraft and got to see my hometown of Georgetown, SC from the sky. I have a youtube show and was able to film my experience. Highly recommend, safety was first, and got a flight of a lifetime.

This was a surprise 30th bday gift from my mom. When we met Dave, I wasn't sure what I was looking at. A boat? A plane? Dave thoroughly explained the aircraft/boat and went over safety issues. We got it set up and were off. I found it very relaxing soaring over the water. I wish I'd have dressed warmer 'cuz it was cold up there. This was a lot of fun and such a unique experience. Now my mom wants to do it too. I'll look forward to her thoughts. Thanks Dave!

I’m traveling to the area this summer on break from uni. I noticed that you said it was priced per hour. If I would like to participate, but did not want to go a full hour is that possible? If so, how would that be priced :) — Thank you!!

We're both actually happier that we took turns with Dave. The flight is so amazing you don't want anything distracting from Dave, Mello and the moment you never look at life the same again. Plus now we can't stop comparing flights with each other! LOL

Thank you for the question. I'm sorry I didn't receive notification of your question until just now. I realize if you were visiting Savannah my answer may be too late however here's the short answer... Our One Hour Introductory Flight is $299.00 per person and takes approximately 90 minutes with paperwork and safety briefing. A couple can split the flight hour, I can only fly one person at a time. Hi Max, thank you for the inquiry. The costs is $299 per hour/per person,(we give discounts for cash, military and students.), we only fly one person at a time, our weight limit is 250 lbs. and we do have availability this weekend. It is best to call as soon as you know you'd like to fly as we are very weather dependent and fly people on a first call/first served basis.
