Went to watch a film today, were greeted when we came in, bought some popcorn and watched a great movie in a mostly empty theater. Seats were comfortable and good video/sound quality, pleasant experience overall.

Seats maybe 75. Comfy, clean chairs with cup-holders. Screen clean and crisp . Good sound. I like this place a lot. Friendly staff. Parking at the door. Unusual , in a good way, snack bar. Hot tea! Wonderful to watch with The Darkest Hour! I've been to this theater possibly 5 times. I've been happy each time.

Two theaters seat 50-75 people for the movies you can't always find at the big theaters. Friendly people tend to your needs and listen to your recommendations for the next movie showing.

Love the smaller venue and the quality of the films. Friendly staff. Comfortable seating. Plan to see many more movies here.

50-seat modern digital quality theater downtown with movies you can't find elsewhere. Just saw 8 Days A Week and Mr. Charles is up next. Next door is the Capitol. a 1920s movie palace with 35mm classics and live shows most weekends.

In the lobby....The player piano plays old time scrolls are loaded in an magnificent music plays!
Films offered great variety, plenty of restrooms, handicap accessible easily, many great restaurants convenient for lunch or dinner before or after the show truly a wonderful experience...and they are adding another cinema in the near future!

This is one of my favorite places to go, whether alone or with a friend. I love introducing new people to it, as they're surprised by the quaintness & intimacy of the theater, along with the quality of films shown there. I prefer this theater over the larger commercial ones in the area, as I can watch movies that I wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to see. I've seen many independent films, and a few foreign films there that weren't at all what I was expecting (I didn't spend the whole movie reading subtitles :) ), and they were really very good.
The ticket price is very reasonable at $7, with student tickets at $5 (even adult college students with ID!). They offer a Friends of the Capitol plan with an annual donation that gives you perks including $5 tickets, and I had also previously purchased a ceramic mug which gives me free coffee or tea when I bring it with me. Relaxing with a nice hot mug of tea and popcorn is a great way to enjoy the movie.
The theater seats about 50 people and the rise provides a great seat from anywhere, with room for wheelchairs as well. The expansion they're working on now is fantastic, as they've changed their entryway, added more bathrooms and are in the process of adding a second theater. The seats are soft and comfy, and it's just a wonderful place to relax and be entertained.
This is such a special place that I almost want it to be kept a secret.

Cinema Capitol is probably the closest theater aside from Munson Williams to show independent film in the area and they also show a lot of films that nobody in the area would possibly see otherwise, such as foreign movies and operas. The staff is always friendly and you also have the chance to meet other artistic people in the area by coming here.
