Love this place. Great selection of movies. Not all movies are "arty". Fresh popcorn and beer. What move can you ask for. Check to make sure your movie is in one of the big theaters though. The more "artier" the smaller the theater? Still a must visit and visit often. And John Hodgman use to work here so that's an added bonus!

Saw Summer of Soul in the upstairs “balcony” theater today. Masks are required, most folks obeyed. Good sound system, old fashioned “normal” seats were comfortable enough with good sightlines.

The beloved Coolidge Corner Theater has been closed since COVID unfortunately. Saw quite a few lovely films there and some live events. Always friendly staff.

This is not the most modern cinema, but the acoustics are good, the seating is decent and the selection is reliably good. There is easy parking behind the building (but the meters are in effect till 8 pm except Sundays and holidays). If you like film, this should be on your list of places to check for current selections.

Among the few independent movie theaters left, this non-profit theatre is a true gem. From first run showings to vintage classics to theatre and opera on the screen, this movie house is very special. With a large Art Deco theatre for main features to smaller screening rooms, they offer a wide range of movie experiences. Very comfortable seating, friendly helpful staff, and top notch equipment often not available in most for profit theaters.
We see most of our movies there and take great pleasure in supporting this non-profit venture that is completely community oriented. Go!!!!!!

This is a beautiful old movie house in the heart of Coolidge Corner. It features a wide range of movies, from mainstream films to the truly offbeat. The concessions are fine too.

Fantastic and unique place to go watch some independent movies. I love how the screening rooms are not huge, except for one.

This theater is amazing. They offer a great range of just released movies, older movies, and live entertainment. It feels like you are in a different decade going into the theater. They also serve beer and wine and the food is not as expensive as other theaters.

One of the top five reasons to live in fantastic Brookline! We have seen so many great movies at the Coolidge over the years, many of which are not availsble elsewhere. The staff is always friendly and informative. The complete opposite of a multiplex experience. Love it.
