Great community garden worth a walk through. Placid pond with gazebo. Very chill environment with everyone gathered. I love this place!

Larz Anderson Park has beautiful rolling hills, and is a great place for a walk or a picnic. There's a nice ice skating rink in the winter (outdoors) and an underrated Car Museum on site. A good quiet spot for a Sunday afternoon!

What a beautiful place! There is a playground that is located under trees so there is lots of shade. The older child playground had monkey bars, zip line and a fantastic metal slide. The open area was nicely maintained by the DPW. Again, as with the LA musuem, I wish I would had my picnic basket.

We held a fund raising dinner for a women's study initiative called Maayan at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum and it was a lovely place to have a venue and enjoy seeing the different antique car models.

My wife is from the area, and she suggested that we bring our kids there on a beautiful January Sunday to ice skate. My eldest was not keen on doing this, but after seeing his brother and I skating decided to join in. They have plenty of the rigid plastic "guides" for off-rink skating and learning and that was the bonus for them to get them warmed up. Very family friendly, good pricing, plenty of skates to rent, and its entirely outdoors (which is best on a sunny day). Enjoy the mild winter we are having! Great music to skate to, as well.

Great place for walking, beautiful grass slopes and a place to reserve for a group outing.

My family and I really enjoy Larz Anderson. We have gone there for both for family picnics and to events i.e. a Scandinavian cultural organization that meets there annually and rents out one of the bbq pits. Which is very easy for a large groupe and economical.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon and had a pleasant walk around the park. So many great spots to stop and take photos as well!

I have been visiting Larz Anserson Park for many years now. Perfect for picnics in the summer and sledding and ice skating in the winter. Best of all..is the perch over which to see the beautiful Boston skyline. A must visit when in Boston-Brookline!

My grandmother used to take me and my brothers and cousins here when we were little to feed the ducks. It was always such fun to take her stale bread and crackers and hustle to the water's edge to just that. As a young mum I did the same thing and truly enjoyed. And now can picnic and read at this quiet part of Brookline-just a nice way to spend a lunch time.

Reserve a Picnic Table at One of Brookline Parks (April - October)
Many parks in Brookline have a picnic area available for exclusive use. Picnic areas consist of one picnic table that can be reserved for small events accommodating up to 40 people. There is a 2 hour minimum when reserving a picnic area. Reservations are accepted for the following time increments: 10:00AM-12:00PM, 1:00PM-3:00PM, or 4:00PM-6:00PM. If you would like to reserve a picnic table for exclusive use, you can make the reservation online or call (617) 730-2069. If the event will consist of more than 40 people, a special event application must be submitted.
