Dom took my wife and I on a great personalised tour of the Dumbo District in Brooklyn last week.
He not only provided us with insight into the history of Dumbo, from its early warehousing to its Arbuckles coffee-making roots to Brooklyn being the home of Brillo pads, international pharmaceuticals firms, et al.
He also took the time to introduce us to a number of the artisans in the area with whom he clearly has long-standing friendships, including local artist Craig Anthony Miller, Yukako Satone's Loop of the Loom studio, and last and definitely not least, Mark Thompson's Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory!
The time flew by, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Dom. He loves sharing his passion and knowledge of his backyard with visitors like us.
I cannot recommend Dom's tour highly enough; thanks, Dom, we had a blast.
