Was back again and great as always. Our trip to the mountains isn’t the same without a visit to Alewines …. The most beautiful pottery and the staff is amazing. Robert is the nicest guy and always makes you feel at home. See you next time.

Missed visiting the shop again

They had 3 shops and now have only one. They were open seven days a week and now only open six days a week. I guess business is so good they can don't care if everyone can make it to their shop.

An absolute MUST stop to browse and buy a piece of beautiful pottery.

If you have limited time, don't like to shop or don't spend money on touristy stuff, stop here for quality pieces; don't miss this store! This one is always a MUST, I find unique pieces to purchase. I frequent the Smokies several times a year. and always buy something here. Located in the Arts & Crafts loop area.

Not to be missed!

This potter is NOT to be missed. Beautiful pieces, plentiful supply, and as a bonus there was a bluegrass music circle plucking away while we were shopping - so authentic and very nice people. Felt like we really got the Gatlinburg hospitality in this little shop. Went home with a beautiful lamp base, two bowls and their signature maple leaf mug. I’m not a huge fan of souvenirs with town names on them so pottery is a nice way to remember the trip. You will not be disappointed if you stop! Wish I had more time there!

One of our favorite places.

My wife and I come here 3 or 4 times a year when we are in town. Mr Alewine and his staff are extremely talented artist. And Robert is such a nice guy. Always makes you feel welcome. We are developing quite a collection and look forward to adding to it.

Very Interesting

This place was very interesting because of all the pottery they sell. I especially loved watching the people that work here make pottery for the people who come here to buy them.

I love how they are following Chick-fil-A’s Rules about being closed on Sunday.

If you are in Gatlinburg and wanting to do the arts and crafts loop then I would recommend stopping here.

The Only Pottery Place We Go.

Without hesitation, my favorite pottery place in the Smoky Mountains. This family owned and operated pottery house is just amazing. It really is the only place we purchase pottery from. They even have a location in Wears Valley now. Good people, amazing pottery. They are a MUST visit for us every year.
