Wonderful friendly casual atmosphere, with excellent films. It's a co-op, and we joined to get the discounts. Our favorite movie theater!

We went to see Downton Abbey movie. The showing was held in a "pop up theater" adjacent to the Old Greenbelt theater, which is being renovated. I was dubious at first, because there was a jazz fest going on in the courtyard right in front of the theater. I was afraid we wouldn't be able to hear the dialog. The pop up theater was small, about 35-40 seats. The seats were very comfortable and roomy. We could get popcorn and candy right next door. It turned out wonderfully. We had no problems hearing the dialog and the jazz fest moved to an indoor location after about a half hour and was no problem. They provided closed captioning devices and they offered a refund if you weren't satisfied with the amenities. I thought it was great and I loved the movie.

This is a beautiful old-style, one-screen theater, still thriving in its 80th year. It's well-run and well-maintained, with a terrific sound system that outdoes brand-new theaters in the area. Prices for both admission and concessions are reasonable, and the staff members are very friendly.

Free ample parking, convenient to the Beltway. Low prices and excellent first-run films, limited on violence and overt sex. Art Deco ambience with new bathrooms. Ample seatsing and never crowded. Seats to be refurbished this year. Friendly personnel. 1950's atmosphere on the town square opposite with restaurants.

This is a great theatre. Fine movies chosen carefully. Single screen, very old-timey feel but very modern projectors and comfy seating. The popcorn is the best I've had anywhere. That's an aside - the choice of movies is always axcellent, and they have decent runs of a few weeks instead of chasing the latest fan-boy trend.

This is a great old cinema the way movies used to be! Seats are comfortable, screen is big, prices are great, snacks include popcorn and fancy chocolate. There are restaurants (and a grocery store) right nearby. I talked to someone who saw Fantasia here during its original 1940 release!

This gteat old restored theater in old downtown Greenbelt features better movies not shown in the bigger chains. Free Monday classic movies draw big crowds. My favorite theater and worth the trip!

We love our local theater!! Sometimes they show current movies, sometimes other films. "Victoria & Abdul" was a heart-wretching movie w/beautiful costumes & scenery & we saw it at the theater recently.
I went to my 1st movie there when I was a child.
It has been renovated for everyone's enjoyment!

This is an old-timey single screen theater that completely transports you back to the first half of the 20th century (as does the whole of Greenbelt Center). Its clean, the seats are comfortable, and the audio/picture quality were good. The clientelle seems to skew older, likely a function of the artsy or documentery films that predominate their offerings. Find a film that's interests you and its certainly worth checking out for a low-key night at the movies in a unique environment!

This great old theater was recently given a face-lift and is a pleasure to visit. The seats are comfortable (though not stadium seating) and the theater is spacious. The choice of nibbles and goodies is enticing! The theater is very community oriented - holiday theses are emphasized, some special children's showings are offered, several festivals are programmed, and a great selection of first-runs and artsy films are shown. The theater is in the Roosevely Center which also boasts two restaurants - the New Deal Cafe and a chinese restaurant, both offering great vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, so it is easy to make a fun evening or afternoon of a theater visit. ... p.s. ticket prices are actually reasonable too!
