wonderful experience while climbing mount agung.
we climbed Mount Agung with a friendly guide and good service. we are always encouraged, to see the beauty of the sunrise from the top of Mount Agung. beautiful view at the top, tiredness pays off when you see the view from the top. we are also served breakfast of hot coffee and tea .... this is really amazing I highly recommend contacting ketut, wa +6285203723242

I have climbed Mount Agung and Mount Abang Bali with experienced and very friendly guides. Mount Agung is truly an amazing sight, we are very impressed. Our first climb was Mount Abang, a year ago, and we returned to Bali to climb Mount Agung with Ketut. We also climbed Mount Agung with a sense of comfort, because we were guided by experienced and friendly guides. Climbing mount agung which really made me memorable and happy with a frienly guide ,good service .after the sunrise the view is very beautiful. We are invitedt to take some photos, while enjoying ,warm coffee and breakfast made by the guide .

Yesterday I did the hike to mt. Agung summit. After doing some research I found Ketut, and i was happy to book my hike with him. A bit worried about the weather I asked Ketut about rain on the mountain. He answered:
"There is no rain ..in the mountain you will above the cloud".
But first i have to climb.up the mountain to get above the clouds . I replied.
"No...from the start poin you will above the cloud".
So that assured me: no rain on Mt.Agung during the hike.
A day before the hike Ingot a message from Ketut that he was sick, and that his cousin will do the journey with me. A bit bummed out, but fine.
Then the pick up. It was supposed to be 11 pm at my hotel, it was 11:30.
Then the hike. Starting from Pura Pasa Agung at 00:30. So much rain! Slippery and steep roads into the jungle. After 1,5 hours and countless falls I decided that it was enough. We turned back to the temple. We arrived there around 3am. The driver took me back.to my hotel and that was it. The guide still charged my full price (nearly 2mil Rupiah) for a hike we did not complete.
Overall a bad experience. If I would have known that it would be raining the entire hike, i would not go. But because of the assuring words of Ketut, i choose to do the hike.

dear Jelmer ....sorry if my words are wrong, I'm only human who never knows for sure about changes in the weather on the mountain, I already said that on the mountain the weather usually changes quickly but because you are ashamed to admit you are weak you cannot go up to the top and only arrived in the forest and returned, don't blame me if you can't go up the mountain, and when you go up the rain is just a light drizzle finally an hour later the rain is gone, and many climbing friends continue to climb to the top, this is your fault for not being strong enough to go up the mountain , and can only blame me, and the weather, you usually correct yourself first before giving an explanation. and my cousin also said that if you walk like a drunk, it's like someone who has never practiced walking up a mountain. so you can only get to the forest and you ask to go back down because you are not strong... Dear Jelmer, I hope you can become a more mature and wiser person, and can appreciate those of us who are looking for food for our families by working up this tiring mountain. we do it with pleasure and full of responsibility, our principle is to be able to provide the best service and safety first.

We decided pretty last minute to try the sunrise hike up mount Agung while in Bali. Ketut responded quickly via WhatsApp, was flexible about payment methods (American banks are fussy), and arranged everything for transport to/from and a private guide up the volcano. His partner Gede was our guide and was fantastic, setting a steady pace and timing our arrival at the summit well. 10/10 would recommend this tour if you decide to hike Agung.
I would absolutely recommend a guide for this hike, especially if it's your first time. Route finding, even during the day, was not straightforward. The hike itself is no joke, and hiking through the night is definitely a difficulty multiplier - but Gede was great about pointing out sketchy spots before they came up. We saw plenty of groups not make it to the top.
Bring warm clothes, a windbreaker/raincoat, and at least 3 liters of water. There is no place to even filter water the entire way. Ketut provided a great breakfast (chocolate pancake/boiled egg/a few bananas) but I would bring additional snacks.
The summit is spectacular, and once the muscle soreness fades, absolutely worth the effort.

Me and my wife went with Ketut to Agung in July 2022, our hiking included a 1 night camping stay on the mountain. He had many professional guides who made our hiking unforgettable. Starting with a timely pick-up from our hotel, help during the hike, food and camping. I really recommend a 1-night stay on the mountain, which will make your hiking less tiring and offer a magnificent sun dawn and star gazing.

Ketut organised our hike and picked us up himself. Him and his team were super friendly and attentive. The guides were so patient in helping us up and down the mountain. He took us to a nice restaurant after the hike for a much needed post climb meal. Recommended!

Если вас привлекают горы и приключения - Агунг стоит вашего внимания.
Мы прошли весь путь за 14 часов, без подготовки и особого снаряжения.
У нас были обычные кроссовки, перчатки, шапки и по одной вспомогательной палке.
Из еды пригодились шоколадки, несколько яиц и вода. Не было сил и желания есть.
С самого начала пути может показаться , что сложно и вы захотите отказаться. Возможно это будет правильное решение)) так как спускаться - нереально тяжело ! Практически весь спуск мы съезжали на попе🙈
На самой вершине было очень необычно и сказочно! Ты находишься выше облаков! Смотришь на весь остров с высоты 3 тыс. метров! Невероятно!
Наш гид Gede был очень вежливый и внимательный❤️. Всю дорогу он переживал про наше самочувствие,подсказывал на какой камень стать, как лучше поставить ноги и где нужно быть более осторожным.
Ребята предоставили нам завтрак и горячий чай)) предложили фонарики, шапки, перчатки и специальные походные палочки. Во время отвезли и привезли с комфортом и веселой музыкой!))

I made a special request to Ketut to do some camping in the mountains. We were not able to go on Mount Agung since it was an active volcano so instead we went up Mount Abang.
Ketut was very kind and easy to work with. He and his team set up the campsite, brought food/water every couple of days and took care of every request. Only complaint would be that the tent was slightly leaky during the heavy rain, but he brought a fairly large tarp to cover most of the tent so it was not much of a problem for the rest of the trip.
