I went to see the Broadway touring production of “The Lion King”, because my daughter was acting in it ! As theaters go, this center was excellent, with good “sight lines” for the audience . The contemporary auditorium was spacious enough to accommodate a lot of people(for concerts & plays) . The location was convenient for “foodie” parents visiting their college students ; lots of pubs ,bars and restaurants!

We go as often as we can. It is a beautiful space and its shows never disappoint. Walking State Street is a treat after a matinee with lots of places for snacks!

Attended a retro-rock concert here recently. Great acoustics and every seat is a great seat. Cocktails and snacks were available for purchase. A great venue and we look forward to seeing other shows there soon.

Very impressive venue. We were in the Capitol theater to see Afrique billed as a cirque performance. We sat in the middle balcony to the right with good sight lines and very good acoustics. Show was not much cirque du soleil type but, African music and voices were very good and strong.

Visited to see "STOMP." Parking may be a chore, but the theater itself was welcoming and there was plenty of help to get us to the correct stage and to our seat. The building was clean and the acoustics were very good.

Don’t fall for the Lucky Seat lottery enticing you to submit a lottery entry in exchange for a winning ticket. Although not affiliated with the Overture Center, the Overture ticket office had assured me that I would get really good seats for a fraction of the cost through this lottery. I ended up “winning” two tickets and paid $30 each for nose bleed seats that would have cost me $25 a piece had I bought them from Overture directly. We went to Hairspray on Feb 22. At least a third or more of the seats were open.

The Overture Center for the Arts is a lovely venue for concerts and events. We felt very comfortable attending a concert because of the Covid protocol in place. Helpful and cheerful staff is always available.

I love the Overture! I had my debut one woman show at this theatre, So it will always hold a warm spot in my heart! I also recently saw the epic performance of Hamilton here—twice! It was wonderful! It felt like having a little of Broadway in Madison!

We've been here for a number of concerts/plays (most recently Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban live in concert) and it's always a good experience. Even in the balcony/mezzanine, the acoustics and visibility are good.
It's always nice not to have to drive a long way to go see something; parking can be tricky but there are a few garages, and after the show there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance on State Street.

Awesome event and venue, loved it all. Would come back to this venue again and again. The dancing and the orchestra was first rate and just great acoustics in the place!
