The woman/host at the beginning gave information about the tour to the people in front of us. I could not hear anything she was saying. when the elevator got there, she was shoving us all in there at the same time. I assumed she was going to give us the same information about the tour that she gave people in front of us but she had no plan to do so. I am hard of hearing and can say this is the only handicap people blame you for. She said she assumed I was listening. I could not hear her. There is a big difference. I do not appreciate her prejudice. Sazerac discriminates again hard of hearing/ deaf people. NOT cool!!!!!!!!! I don’t appreciate being called out/ embarrassed I front of the people behind me because I can’t hear.

Horrible and rude bartender Erick made their signature drink, the Sazerac, without peychauds bitters. Might have been accidental but when asked to add more was so rude, argued with us, and just walked away insultingly. The woman bartending was lovey and remade our drink again, correctly. He is awful and should not work with the public, let alone make cocktails for anyone. And I am also a bartender! But his behavior was unbelievable, especially in a place that nice. I wouldn’t let him work in a dive bar.

Nice place for a classic cocktail experience. The room and the hotel are beautiful and we’ll kept. Drinks are on the pricy side and I was sad that the current bartenders aren’t making the iconic Sazerac Cocktail in the traditional manner anymore — still very tasty, but not the same. However, they did serve up the best Old Fashion i’ve ever tasted!

Situé dans le magnifique hôtel Roosevelt, un peu en dehors du quartier Français, ce bat est historique et sert de fameux cocktails. les panneaux en bois d'époque art deco sont renommes. bien sur c'est cher mais très agréable.

Expensive drinks. I ordered the Rosemary Baby and didn’t think it was very good. I’m sure there are very good drinks here, but that one isn’t one.

This is a really nice bar which is energetic, yet upscale and composed and offers the great décor… the only issue is it’s one of the only “true” cocktail bars within a ½ mile of this part of NOLA. There is a speakeasy across the street, but for a bar that’s open all the time does something unique and truly serves TRUE COCKTAILS – this is it! They even have the Ramos Gin Fizz on the menu!!
We came here twice in one night recently… the first time, they were literally standing room only as they were so packed! So, we left, went elsewhere, where the vibe was poor and after about 45 mins we came back and scored a couple of seats at the bar, which was great, because we got to watch the bartender toss/flip glasses when making the Sazerac. The drinks were incredible and so was the vibe!
Highly recommend this bar, if you’re into “true cocktails” and no just the typical Captain & Coke, etc type drinks.

Our 1st time to Nola since before Covid & also our 1st time to stay at the Roosevelt. Our visit was perfect except for the service in this bar. Beautiful hotel and gorgeous bar but our visit was totally ruined by the female bartender working on Thursday Jan 26 around 5:30. I asked a simple question about happy hour (which they obviously no longer have) & was snubbed & looked down on like trash by her. I don’t know what her issue was but we have visited many classy bars in our lifetime & I have never felt so disrespected. In fact after bringing our first drinks she never returned to our area. The guy that was bartending finished our ticket up. Skip this bar unless you don’t mind being waited on by a stuck up bartender!!

If you can't find a seat, make sure to stick around because the seats change often. The room is enclosed in the original African walnut wood and it's gorgeous. Make sure to check out the murals on the walls, too....so many figures from the past to spot.

Art Deco NYC feel to it. Great spot for a drink with friends before heading out to dinner. Strictly a bar - no food. Good spot to try a Sazerac ($12) if you haven't yet had one. Great atmosphere and service. Off the lobby of the Hotel Roosevelt.

We stopped at the Roosevelt to see the Christmas decor and enjoy a cocktail at the bar. The bar staff was great - very friendly. They all made excellent drinks as well. The drinks are in the pricier side but fitting for the establishment. The cocktail menu has lots of old time classic cocktails on it.
