If you're interested in authentic experiences, I highly recommend this tour. Mark, our guide, and Herb, our driver, were excellent. They had an insider's view of the Treme neighborhood, home of many of New Orleans top musicians. The small meal at the end was delicious. The van was comfortable and the tour length was just right. It was an interesting, positive and memorable experience.

We booked via the internet for a tour during our JazzFest visit to New Orleans, not knowing they didn't run tours this weekend, as all the buses were in use as shuttles for the fest. At the start time of the tour they rang to fill us in what was happening. After a short delay, much to our delight and surprise we were taken on a personal tour for the next couple of hours. Our guide, sorry can't remember his name, was wonderful, shared lots of information with us, encouraging questions which he ably answered. It was a real pleasure to be greeted personally by an Indian Chief and the food samples at the end of the tour set us up for the rest of the day at the Fest. A must do New Orleans experience.

Had a reservation for a morning tour. My wife sick so we had to cancel. Tried to reschedule with choice of 4 different dates/times, but told they were all full. Asked for a rain check to use later this year, told no. Don't know what the tour would have been like, but this process left a bad taste in my mouth as well as $120 down the drain.

Everything about this tour was amazing! We met the Big Chief in Armstrong Park, and he provided us with lots of information about Mardi Gras Indians. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided an interesting and informative overview of the history of the Treme up to recent times, including background information on the HBO series. This was topped off by lessons in eating crawfish at a local eatery. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed this tour, it was one of the highlights of our trip. I've been to New Orleans many times, but this tour gave us such a great perspective of how NOLA came to be what it is today. Milton was awesome!! A great storyteller who has done his research. Would highly recommend this tour, I learned a lot and appreciate the diversity of NOLA even more. Thanks Mr. Gibson for setting up the private tour.

We had the pleasure of taking this tour while in NOLA for three days. It was definitely one of the highlights. It is a great tour that takes you outside the "usual" and allows you to experience Treme, learn more about Mardi Gras Indians and eat some awesome local food (seriously it was so tasty!) Joseph was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and the van is very comfortable. If looking to experience something informative, fun and outside the box do not hesitate to book this tour!

Fabulous tour from start to finish! Driver promptly picked my husband & I up from our hotel at the time stated. Tour guide was polite, a knowledgeable resident of the city, & took his time. He provided a very educational view of Treme & its history as the first African-American neighborhood in the U.S. Our meeting with a true Mardi Gras Indian was very nice, too. Topped off with some real gumbo & crawfish at Today's Cajun Seafood. Can't get better than that!

Wish there was a zero star!! Never showed up never, never called and when I called said oh they pushed pick up time an hour back because of traffic and the tour was now going to be shorter. Said they would be there in 15 and never showed. I called and he said I should just cancel. No apologies no nothing completely wasted day!! Was warned by the people at our hotel that they were unreliable should have listened. And to top it off he was rude!

I apologized for traffic that we had no control over. We've had a perfect track record on TripAdvisor and are shocked and very disappointed that you wrote such false statements. Don't know what happened to you day of tour but we will not rest until these statements are removed with an apology from you. This tour was pushed back 15 to 30 minutes due to traffic from an accident. You were notified and received a full refund. The Winsor Court referred you to our tour so we know for a fact they never said we are unreliable. Calling our staff names and liers is also unacceptable. Big Chief and staff are totally unsatisfied with this review and this will be reviewed by our legal team. However, after reviewing your company South Street Yoga and Nutrition on Yelp, we noticed you have had a track record of being rude and insulting.
Note: TripAdvisor sould never allow anyone to write a review that has never used a service.

We drove around in a comfortable van with 2 guides, one of which was the driver. Very friendly and informative. We went to Congo Park and learned about the 2nd Line Parade, met up with an Indian man in full and beautiful costume. Incredible the detail that goes into the making of it. We toured the Treme area and others surrounding it. They talked about Katrina and you can still see some of the damage and that a lot of construction going on. We also went to a local place to sample some of the local food. Lots of fun had by all.

We loved our tour of Treme. Our guide, Joseph, was knowledgeable and told us so much about the area ...... It's history, details of the past and present culture and the Indian groups. We met one Chief in full dress. Great explanations.
The tour finished with authentic gumbo and crayfish (leaving a nice, spicy burn.
