My sister and I went together and we had so much fun! With it being her first escape room, I’m definitely excited that I picked this one for us to do and she enjoyed herself. Hopefully next time we’ll have more people and we can do a different escape room there. I will be recommending this place and I plan to visit again myself next time I’m down in New Orleans

Our lady had an attitude. We did another escape room that was much better. Pieces and items were either broken or missing which in the end wasted a bunch of time. it was a different type of escape room. It was more about mystery and more logical based. There weren’t as many locks like normal escape room…. It was a weird experience.

BEST ESCAPE ROOM EVER! We had a blast and I love love love how its all REAL and handmade puzzles and clues- nothing techy or flashy. (like the boring franchise escape rooms) This was such a unique and wholesome experience. We escaped the Jazz Parlor with 2 minutes to spare :) I highly recommend this when in NOLA

Best Escape Room in New Orleans! Elaborate Design that allows your imagination to run wild! And the Staff was excellent as well!

From the entry to the business, to the escape room itself and the debrief session was awesome! I love that we were met by the greeter “assistant” was in character from the moment we walked in. The room was a mix of tons of clues and the kids in our group were also able to participate.

Very unique escape room. The staff was helpful and in character the whole time! Worth the money and a funthing to do during the day.

How often do you get to experience an escape room in a location that was once a funeral parlor, antique shop, and halfway house? Any of those three and you would know that you're in for a "spiritual" treat...
As we had never experienced an escape room which had a majority of time spent in absolute darkness, we chose "Smuggler's Den." Although I was initially terrified....more my anticipation than anything else...I ended up having quite a hilarious time as I found my other senses heightened throughout the game.
Escape My Room New Orleans has devised a room with puzzles which are extremely tactile and equal amounts creative / analytical. There were only two of us in the room, and we had to rely more heavily on conversation (and patience) than we've ever had to in other escape rooms. Happily, we got out with just two minutes to spare.
From the initial set-up we were fully hooked. The location I've mentioned above...but the minute you walk into the parlor area, you're even more steeped into the mythology with how they've built out the environment. Our guide never broke character and was the perfect ghost host. We told him in the beginning that we only wanted to be nudged if weren't on the right track, and he kept to his word by just ever-so-slightly nudging us once in the beginning.
We will definitely be back to check out their other rooms in New Orleans (as they are well-produced and all tied to the same narrative family) as well as their outpost in Los Angeles.

We absolutely loved it! Family aged from 11 to 57 and we all had so much fun and loved the experience. Highly recommended!

We love doing escape rooms and this was a favorite by far! Not only were you transported into the storyline in the actual room, the check in, waiting area and staff are also in character. It was great to have such a full immersive experience. We will definitely be back to try more rooms!!

I brought my work team here for a teambuilding experience. You have to be willing to lean in to the nerdiness of it all but it's really quite fun. We did the Smuggler's Den and the premise felt a little bit silly but was straightforward and set up the setting very well. The host was in character and quite on point, she didn't make us feel awkward while she was playing her role. The room was the perfect level of challenging, we made it out with only 3 seconds left on the clock. The twist of there being utter darkness for most of the escape was quite fun, although initially a little freaky. I'd just make sure if you do this room that you are with a good group of people as there was a lot of stumbling in to each other and accidental collisions, but nothing felt dangerous. All told it was a super fun night.

Hi, I wondered if it's possible to do the escape rooms with just two people? I don't mind sharing if other people book the same slot, but myself and my husband will be visiting the area next week and would love to try one of these rooms. (I don't mind if it's too difficult to complete with just two, we don't have the best track record at escaping anyway!)

Not necessarily. There are 8 tickets for each room for each time slot; if other people have tickets for the same toom at the same time, you will be grouped up with them. If you really want to be by yourselves, you can buy all 8 tickets for the room, but that can get expensive!

Call the venue since they have added more rooms which may allow different amounts of people. When in doubt, pick up the phone.
