My favourite part of the area. So relaxing, so beautiful to be within nature. Ask the locals for some caves that you can explore (you shouldn't be clautrophobic).
We went by privat transport as we had already heard about some not so great encounters along the way by other people.

The hot waterfall is not to be missed. The volume of water over the falls is incredible. We drove ourselves, and it can be a little confusing, the driveway/entrance to the falls is on the north side of the highway, just west of the bridge. The turn is a little off putting because it seems like the driveway to a restaurant. There will be guys there selling tickets and parking and offering themselves as guides. The trail is very well-marked, no need for a guide, but spreading out a little money to these small communities doesn’t seem so bad. Enjoy!!

Попали на этот источник по совету друзей и не пожалели!! Я если честно такого еще не встречал и для меня это было чем то необыкновенным. Холодное небольшое озеро куда с высоты течет горячая вода да еще и зимой))). Однозначно это стоит увидеть и ощутить! Можно подняться непосредственно к самому месту откуда пробивается горячая вода. Оно находится не так далеко в джунглях и там же есть несколько мест с целебной грязью которой местные лечат кожные заболевания)) или по крайней мере так рассказывают. А теперь совет. Ни в коем случае не давайте детям на парковке сладости и деньги!! Мы к сожалению не последовали ему и в результате спровоцировали драку среди детишек которые предлагают купить кукурузные лепешки...было очень неприятно!!

This was a beautiful site, and so unique! the combination of the hot waterfall and the cool pool with the smell of sulfur isn't something I'll soon forget. we slathered ourselves in the mud from the top of the hot waterfall and really enjoyed the experience.

Paradise off the main road to Rio Dulce

Amazing hidden place that defiantly worth a visit, not to miss. The feeling of hot shower from above with cold water from beneath is super.

Cascada de Agua Termal + Río de Agua fría= Sensacional

Nosotros nos desplazamos desde Río Dulce hacia la Finca El Paraíso en auto -aunque pregunté y me informaron que también existe transporte público-, menos de media hora de recorrido, al llegar al sitio si viras a la izquierda llegas a una playa del Lago Izabal. Hacia la derecha está la entrada hacia Hot Springs, pagas tu acceso e ingresas al estacionamiento, una vez ahí caminas por un sendero quince minutos y llegas a éste Paraíso.
Colocarte bajo la cascada de agua termal ¡No tiene precio! y es una sensación única ya que el Río es de agua fresca y esta combinación de temperaturas es toda una experiencia.
El entorno es natural con árboles enraizados, vegetación y ese río con pozas donde brota el agua caliente.
Debes llevar comida o bebida ya que en el sitio sólo venden cocos.

Disfruta de Hot Springs porque: ¡La VIDA...es un VIAJE!

Un paraíso

Es un paraíso este lugar situado en un entorno natural ya que accedes a través de una caminata de aproximadamente 15 minutos entre zona arbolada y en la ribera del río, una vez que llegas encuentras una cascada de agua termal que disfrutas a plenitud, asimismo en las inmediaciones hay algunas pozas donde brota el agua termal en contraste con el río que tiene agua fresca algo hermoso...único e imperdible en tu visita a Río Dulce.

Disfruta de Hot waterfall porque: ¡La VIDA...es un VIAJE!

A lovely experience worth the visit

We went early morning around 9 a short soak through a wooded area leads you to the waterfall and pool. The waterfall is hot but not too hot and this was an interesting experience worth going to.

Perfect place to spend the day!

Such a cool and unique place- a (very) hot waterfall that runs into a cold river. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and there were not many people, so you can really enjoy your time there without masses of tourists!
Definitely make sure to check out this place when you are in the area!

A don’t miss activity in Rio Dulce!

This is the best activity around Rio Dulce! I have never seen anything like it. It’s a very clean, fresh and shallow river in which a waterfall with hot, volcanic water comes down. Come early before the crowds arrive.
