met een bootje naar isla iguana. Toeristisch. Heel veel boten en duur. Koraal rif weinig vissen niet gezonders .

This was a little disappointing. We were promised a lunch, snorkeling gear, a seat in the shade and a boat ride to the Island. Their English was excellent but it was a pain having to deposit cash into their bank account a day ahead. Use of a credit card would have been nice. The four of us went on the tour the same day as another large group and only got a good lunch because we accidentally were given some of theirs (BBQ chicken and rice). Pedasi Tours gave us a loaf of bread and some sandwich spread (Really. It looked like a cross between Cheese Whiz and mayonnaise) plus a bottle of coke, water and some watermelon. The other group brought the own chairs (for their use) so we were left with the picnic table which is always on the Island. Essentially Pedasi Tours organized the boat ride, the shade tent and the little bit of food; the rest was from the other group. So, it's OK enough if you speak no spanish but ask a lot of questions.

Fui a Isla Iguana y la experiencia es muy buena.
El cruce cuesta $70 dólares y debes pagar $4 o $8 dólares en la isla dependiendo si eres Panameño o Residente o Extranjero.
La isla es pequeña, limpia y segura. Para hacer snorkel es ideal y el lanchero que te cruza te presta el equipo

Just back from a whale watching & Isla Iguana tour and happy we did it with Pedasi Tours. They are acting very friendly and professional. Our Captain Jose brought us close to the humpbacks, he knew exactly where to look for them. On the unique island, he not only had our lunch paket ready but complete beach equipment: chairs, umbrella, snorkel stuff. We'll definitely come back with family and friends.

Contratamos el tour para ver ballenas 214 dolares, eramos tres.. Nos comentaron en la agencia que serian 2 horas para visualizar ballenas y 2 horas en isla Iguana.... Quedamos en la agencia , nos acompañaron hasta la playa Arenal, desde donde saldria nuestra barca... Al llegar aparcamos, nos señalaron la barca que era y al llegar el capitan de la barca, no sabia que tour teniamos, nos decia que para ver ballenas eran 3 horas y nada de ir a isla Iguana.. Asi que la comunicacion con la agencia fatal.. Al final conseguimos convencer al capitan del tour que habiamos contratado... Nos llevo a ver ballenas, y no dejo de mirar el movil ni un segundo.. Eramos nosotros quienes le señalabamos donde estaba... Fatal, comunicacion cero y falta de entusiasmo.... Lo llegamos a saber y hubieramos ido solos a playa arenal y contratar nosotros una barca que nos hubiera salido mas economico.... Nos sentimos robados porque no se merecio ni un dolar de lo que pagamos....

After many trips to Pedasi, we finally made it to Isla Iguana. After a bit of a bouncy ride into the wind and spray we reached the calm waters of the island. The beach was spotless (not always a sure thing in Panama), the water crystal clear and it surpassed all of our expectations. The trip was easily arranged. It was nice to have all the snorkeling gear, chairs, umbrella, lunch and drinks provided for a reasonable price, though the lunch was a bit skimpy. You may want to bring some of your own snacks. It seemed that the boat captain was very flexible regarding the length of our stay. Upon arrival, we were the only people on the island, followed a while later by another panga with a couple on board. Isla Iguana must have a well known reputation because a while later a Lindblad Cruise ship(known for their adventure nature cruises) anchored up and proceeded to disgorge about fifty passengers for some snorkeling. Luckily, they did not stay long and the fish moved right back onto the reef once things quieted down. The sand on the island is white and powdery and the reef was teeming with many types of puffers, wrasses and triggerfish. The ride home was much calmer and it was fun surfing the panga back onto the beach. Don't forget to stop into the little restaurant right on the beach for a cold beer or cocktail to finish off a great day's adventure.

I highly recommend this tour. The lunch, snorkel and, chairs and umbrella are worth the fee. The staff spoke excellent english and gave us advice for the day prior to the tour.
The snorkeling on the island is worth the trip. the boat is a little scary due to high waves but theirs felt the safest with good personal flotation devices.
They competed us to a local beach club which was really worth a visit. the club was in a development with no hard sell and and unique pool and beach.

Probably the coolest activity to do in Pedasi. The views were spectacular and the ride was so fun. Crossing rivers with the horses and stopping for some snacks at a river where we could swim in. Also entry of wildlife along the way. I highly recommend for travelers coming to Pedasi/Venao and want a few hours away from the ocean.

Traveling to Pedasi for a week with kids and teenagers, we have visited this small agency at the center of Pedasi. The whole team has been very friendly. We have received very good tips in English from Caroline. I would recommend dealing with this team should one want to know more about the area or organize activities.

Super nice people - Caroline, Jeremiah & Maria! They booked the horseback riding tour and since we spoke very little Spanish, they drove us to the location and rode the horses with us! It was my first time on a horse. I did pretty well but it wasn't my favorite pass time but my friend loved it. The trail led thru or crossed the river & since I'm short (5'3) I had a smaller horse & my tennis shoes kept getting wet - not a good feeling. There were lots of monkeys in the trees so that was a nice bonus. The tour cost $50 each but we later found out that we could have booked it for $15-20 each so do your research before booking!

yes, how do I gt from Panama city to Pedasi? How long of a drive? Bus or private car to your location? I will be in Panama for three weeks

Hey,
Thanks for contacting us.
The easiest way to get to Pedasi is to take the air panama flight (only 35 minutes) that goes every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Al Brook airport at 3 pm.
To go by car the way will take you about 4 hours.
Buses are going from Al Brook central bus station to Las Tablas (about 4.5 hours) and then you will need to take another bus or taxi to Pedasi (about 1/2 an hour).
We'll be happy to help you to arrange any type of transportation you choose.
