My husband asked me what did I want to do for Mother's Day, and I told him that I wanted to go to President Jimmy and First Lady Rosalyn Carter's town in Plains Georgia as my gift. So, we went today, and this town was everything I thought it would be and more. The friendly people, the positive vibes, the food..( Peanut Butter Ice Cream) people....you have to try it...🥰...The pecan brittle...fried peanuts...Peanut butter cookies...President Carter post cards...I really enjoyed myself...The only thing I really, really, wanted to see , was, President Jimmy and First Lady Rosalyn Carter. I will continue to keep President Carter and his family in my prayers. Just to know that I was in the presence of a town, where I know that I could drive and look and say, hey, there's the President's and First Lady's Home , was just breath taken....My Mother's Day was everything......

went to Plain Peanut Store to have some peanut ice cream....upon our arrive a lady named Paula was locking up....we told her we could come back tomorrow.....she was nice enough to open store for us....She told us she wanted us to taste the best creamy peanut butter ice cream out there....we had some, and it didnt disappoint....There ice cream was so good, we asked to ship it.....she said it was too expensive to ship, so they dont do it. but, all whom visit Plains ....HAS TO STOP HERE!!!! it is that good....so yummy, the next day we went back and had some more after we stopped at Jimmy Carters Boyhood Farm......wow, the flavor the best.....Also, met Paulas daughter, and a really nice lady whom was 77 years young....Wow, Plains Georgia has so many kind, helpful nice people whom love their community.....we loved our visit....& we love Plan Peanuts Store, where we bought a lot of goodies to bring home to Ohio for our family........Thanks again Plains for seeing a part of our country thats unique and beautiful, and yummy too!!!!......... :). :).

Quick stop to grab some various fried peanuts such as salt and vinegar and garlic. Many other flavors.
Lots of other food items for purchase as well as T-shirts.
Very friendly staff especially the young girl at the back who served me the peanut butter ice cream/soft serve that I mixed with the chocolate soft serve.
Try the ice cream!!

You can spend a lot of time and money in this store. The assistance you'll receive is top-notch as is the conversation. Nuts, brittle, candies, whatever your heart or stomach may wish for is in this place. A must for anyone passing through the small town of Plains.

A fun stop while in Plains for the Carter sites! This store has a ton of novelty items and so many great food items that most all can be sampled. Fried peanuts, brittle, and awesome peanut ice cream. The staff was great and we ended up buying several products and ice cream. Located in the Old Carter Peanut Warehouse and within walking distance of The Depot, Billy Carter's Gas Station, and Plains High School/Carter Museum.

Lots of samples of peanut brittle, fried peanuts and ice cream. The ice cream was tasty, store was cute bought some brittle and peanuts. Cute little plaza.

I love this store. A very nice lady runs this wonderful store. I found some authentic Carter items at a fair price and some new items also affordable.
I tried the peanut ice cream and it was brilliant.

The peanut ice cream is awesome. Be sure and try the Moonshine Pickled. The Peanut Brittle is exceptionally well made.

We had to try the peanut ice cream and found it delicious as advertised. Sat outside on one of the covered benches and enjoyed the ice cream and the surrounding activity. Plains is almost a living museum and everything is close by. I wish we had visited years ago as we loved it so much. The store, besides ice cream, has a large selection of T-shirts, assorted peanut items and souvenirs. It's a must-stop in Plains.

Eat, taste and take home peanuts of a myriad of styles and flavours. Some like them boiled...after trying them, not so much. Bought a bunch of others though. Great fun. Too bad one can’t take the peanut butter ice cream home ( two weeks away)!

Yes, it is open on Sundays. We went to the church service with former President Carter, then walked down to the stores and they were all open.
