We stayed in the Presidential Suite in the Historic Inn. Beautiful, clean, and a great value. We visited the museum in Carter's old high school, visited his boyhood farm and toured the old train station. A wonderful trip!

Excellent stay. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. They have a nice self service breakfast. The rooms are charming. We stayed in the Presidential Suite and loved it. Staff was very nice.

The proprietor could not be any nicer or helpful. If you are in the area, this is one of the must stops. There are a nice mixture of small and medium sized objects for tourists to buy and put in their car.

A bit of history along with the more than two dozen dealers are available at the Antique shop and Inn. The Inn is upstairs and the shops downstairs. Friendly staff are eager to help.

One of the stores in this mall carries almost exclusively political buttons of every kind and decade imaginable. SO MUCH FUN to pore over. (They're not all favorable about Jimmy Carter either.) They go back to the turn of the century and even beyond. It's simply a wow of a place, and the owner knows more stories about more people to add to the interest as so many politicos have stopped in over the years. Even fellow customers had political takes of their personal experiences with candidates. What a unique, not quicly forgotten experience.

We stayed here one night and were highly impressed. Rooms are all individually appointed to a decade of Jimmy Carter's life. Antique furniture, sitting area in room with a tv., very clean. It is located above the antique store. The rooms have a common area, like a B&B, with an outdoor deck to sit and rock on rocking chairs overlooking the street and train depot. There is breakfast food to make for yourself. And coffee in the common area. We found it all very good. You can eat lunch and/or dinner at the Buffalo Café downstairs and over a couple of businesses. Very handy

Plains is a simple town in southwest Georgia. People are friendly and former President Carter lives just down the road. The inn is beautiful and so spacious. We enjoyed the common room and the porch overlooking Main Street is great for just sitting! The continental breakfast was totally self serve and nothing special. I was expecting more from the breakfast part of this inn, but everything else was awesome.

We love coming to Plains. This was our 7th time stayed at the Inn. The Inn is now under New Management and things were a little different.
Miss Jan is no longer associated with the inn. Be advised, you will no longer have a seat reserved for you for Jimmy Carter's Sunday school class! The new management suggested that we be at the church by about 4:30 am. We got to the church at 4:30, slept in our car for a couple hours, and still did not make it into the main sanctuary. At the last minute, we were offered the choir loft and quickly accepted. We had to find a seat for church on our own. We ended up standing in the overflow section. That was fine, because we really were most interested in seeing Jimmy Carter for Sunday School.
The staff was friendly enough, but it was not the same without Miss Jan. We did not receive local tips about what was going on in the area or anything like that. Maybe that will also change as time goes on.
Overall, our stay was very nice, and we will be back. It's just different without Miss Jan.

I loved touring the antique mall- so many items and so many memories. Friendly staff.... awesome antiques!!!! I wish that we had more time to look more closely at all the interior walls... maybe next visit!!!
