Het is een klein en sympathiek, maar goed georganiseerd museum. Eris een tentoonstelling ruimte en een vaste ruimte met aandacht voor de periode met de kopermijnen. Max 3 kwartier bezoek voor een paar euro. Je kunt codes scannen voor uitleg en toelichting(wel even de WiFi aanzetten).

I popped in here with my family on our last day of our holiday. We enjoyed browsing the gallery upstairs. We honestly couldn't tell if they were paintings or photographs - they were that good.
We weren't sure how to get into the other parts of the museum, but seeing as it was all in German, the gallery was probably the best place for us.

Great history of this prosperous tyrolean town (and its deacons, one with a poodle usefully, if eccentrically, equipped to light its master on his nocturnal trips - you have to see it to know what I am talking about!). An exhibition of lovely C20th paintings of mountain scenes etc by local artist Meng. Also natural history, with an enormous (and, fortunately for hikers, extinct) bear. Well worth a visit to better understand the town you are visiting.

Whether you understand German or not (there are things to scan if you have a smartphone so you can read up in your own language) this small but comprehensive museum is a treat. With an art gallery and toilets (very important) on the top floor and a ground floor and basement, the museum houses exhibitions on the geology, history, customs, flora and fauna of the area. We learned about the Ice Age and prehistoric cave bears. At 2E50 entry for adults it was a pleasant place to while away the time and escape the heat of the day even in the morning from 10 - 12. Check opening times because there is a long gap after lunch and the museum is closed on Mondays. Handy for a rainy day activity too.

We decided on the second day of our holiday to visit the museum and were not disappointed not the biggest one we have visited but one of the best ,maybe small in stature but the content was absorbing especially using a smart phone scanner and having a art gallery on the top floor rounded it off for us

Das Museum zeigt auf interessante und sympathische Weise historische Ortsansichten, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Kunstdenkmäler, Schützen und Freiheitskämpfer, den ehem. Kupfer- und Silberbergbau und vieles mehr. Besonders hat uns der Bär sowie die grünen Regenwürmer gefallen! ;-)
