We didn't expect much of this zoo, based on the location in a residential neighborhood, but boy did it pack a punch. What a lovely zoo (much larger than it appears).

I never visited the zoo until I had kids, despite having lived in Seattle for about 6 years. It's an okay zoo. I've been to plenty meh and great zoos and this one falls somewhere in the middle. I recently got our second membership after not having it for 8 or so months.
The very first time we went, it was the pandemic and the most recent time we went, a couple weeks ago, it was a much more relaxed atmosphere, with a lot more things open.
I think the different environments for the animals are really nice but I don't feel like they allow for a great amount of viewing area for the public. And the areas tended to be far away with lots of places to hide - again, great for the animals but harder for the public to view.
I've only ever had great interactions with staff though. Everyone is really helpful and nice and they love to answer your questions.

Spent four hours here on a rainy day. Great exhibits, but the layout is a bit confusing. We did a lot of back tracking and walking in circles, but that’s a minor complaint. All the exhibits are well designed to make the animals feel as home as possible.

We went, it was Seattle, it was pouring. Most of the animals were in their dens, I don't blame them. Wish we could have seen more animals, but we only had a few days!

We visited the zoo in early November on a bright sunny (but chilly) day, so it was rather crowded. We were limited to two hours because they were opening the Christmas light display that evening. We tried to hit most of the zoo but didn’t get to see everything. The paths are not all cement, so I could see where walking (or using wheelchairs) at times wouldn’t be easy. It was definitely a very nice zoo and would recommend it to everyone. The hot chocolate/apple cider/coffee stand was very welcome as we left.

Animaux peu visibles , espaces mal entretenus , même si on est dans une espèces de forêts, il doit y avoir un minimum d entretien .Pas de carte pour se déplacer juste de l interactif , plein d endroit fermé, on est quand même en octobre .bref décevant et prix exorbitant pour le peu que l on voit .
Bref en conclusion ,zoo bordélique ou les animaux se cachent !

On the whole, the zoo was pretty good; however, we were appalled by the state of the kea. I come from New Zealand and know what kea look like and how the are supposed to behave. The bird we saw was moulting, lethargic and looked depressed. Kea like crows are extremely intelligent birds that need a lot of space and stimulation.

Our day was surprisingly warm, so the animals were not very active. The "lay out" of the zoo seemed a little strange. I couldn't find the areas that I wanted......

Spent morning at zoo with kids. Lots to see and do. Had lunch at end and all enjoyed our visit. Reasonable price.

Is there re-entry to the zoo? For example, if we parked (and entered) at the West entrance, can we leave the zoo at the south entrance and visit the Rose Gardens and the re-enter at the South entrance to continue through the zoo back up to the West entrance back to the parking lot?

The park should be easy for someone with a walking disability. There aren't any moving sidewalks, but I believe they have electric wheelchairs to get around.
