Stopped on the way to Hoover. Clean park, plenty of parking. Small trail. Great photo opportunities with view of water. Lucky to see one big horn sheep

Definitely a must-see while visiting Boulder City or Hoover Dam. Lots of Big horn sheep grazing casually on this large field next to a playground. I recommend not having little kids try and touch or play with these beasts cuz they look tough. Other than that, just a great thing to do that's totally free,

Lots of green space. Pretty view, at a distance, of Lake Mead. Easy terrain, well-maintained gravel path runs about 1/3 of a mile. Big horn sherp grazing on the grass.

My husband and I also make a stop in Boulder City whenever we visit LV but this was our 1st time stopping at this park. We were not sure what to expect but there were Big Horn Sheep everywhere. They were not bothered by everyone taking their pictures.
There were several coming down from the mountains, many relaxing in the shade and some grazing closer to the bottom of the park.
Just do yourself a favor and check out this park. You will be amazed and it is free.

Easy to get to, no charge, animals up soooo close. Don’t miss it!

DO NOT turn into first Hemenway Park ... where the "kids" are playing BALL! heHEhe! We are from WI so we went where the GPS took us! It had a Hemenway Park Sign ... so we got out and looked & looked AND NOooo Big Horns! We asked a few "locals" and 1 guy said they hadn't come down in a LONG TIME! Luckily the "gal" on our kayaking adventure said she had seen them the DAY prior so I kept asking ... finally one local said ... try down there and pointed to the "next" driveway ... which was also Hemenway Park sign. Well there they were! TONS of Big Horns! They were EVERYWHERE! Took a TON of photos! Enjoying nature out in nature is the BEST! We loved it!

And they were there! It was a cold a windy day so we focused on a few photos and left. The great thing is that this park is only a mile or two from downtown Boulder City.

The park is OK but it is a great stop as there is almost always Bighorn Sheep hanging out there to see. They are not skittish so getting a pic or pics of them is very doable.

We went around noon and there was a large group hanging out under the shade of a tree.

We live nearby. It all depends on the weather. They are _normally_ there all day. Sometimes they are over the hill, or down one side, but the roam the whole area nearly every day.
