Great course lots of elevation and trees unfortunately they lost a lot of older trees from storm in early July! Green are fast and challenging to read! Enjoyed!

Management of this course is on the crazy side. The employees all park close to the club house, leaving paying golfers to walk the extra distance. Don’t even think of asking to just play the back 9, as was commented on in other reviews (hint they’re super rude about it, as well as many other unjustified peccadillos). There are other perfectly nice courses in the city to play that are not run by head cases.

Just got a walkon tee time in the late afternoon. Pace of play was good, and met some friendly people as my threesome.

Good municipal course. No par 5's. lots of elevation changes. Pretty good condition for April. The greens are ok. I was there on an off day so not sure what it is like when it is busy.

This is a city public golf course that is fun to play. Just relax and have a good time with your friends.
Yes some of the Par 4's are a little short. Yes some of the Senior Leagues play a little slow. Yes there are joggers, dogs, picnickers, .........
But the staff always works hard to keep it in as good of shape as possible, everybody is friendly and the beer is affordable.
Some times when I think I am taking golf way to seriously, I go have a great time at Elmwood and remember that it is just a game.

Short course with plenty of challenge. You will shoot your low round at this course. Get ready to be pleased with a decent public course in Omaha.

Very nice, next to University of Nebraska at Omaha campus, very pretty, not too difficult, rolling hills but easy to 2 putt! A road goes thru the center of it!

Golfed here in Oct. 2014 for the first time and I came away feeling like I had a lot of fun. The course is well laid out and has a good mix of elevation changes, trees, and distance. There are no par 5's but I'm an irons player and I feel like this course played right into my game. There is only one hole with water, a small par 3. Other than that there are minimal hazards. The price for 18 and a cart for a player was exceptional. My only complaint would be that the greens were in subpar shape, making putting difficult. Other than that, it was excellent. I'll definitely be back.

This is a lovely treed course in the center of town. It is one of the oldest parks in town and the course goes wandering around it.

We live near Elmwood Golf Course and love it. It's the best place in town for my husband and I to play together because it's short enough for me and challenging enough for him, plus, it's some of the best scenery in Omaha with it's beautiful mature trees, ponds, views of UNO's campus, Shakespeare on the Green scenery in July-August, and Elmwood Park's pavillion and many other amenities.
You've gotta really be wanting your exercise to walk the course though, very hilly. I walked 9 there once and promised myself I'd never do it again (and I'm not old or terribly out of shape).
It is a litle more expensive than some people might be expecting a city course to be, but I think it garners the price tag.
It's a little strange that the 9th hole doesn't put you back up at the clubhouse to make the turn, and therefore they get a little finicky about requests to play back 9 only. Just depends on who'se working that day. Always worth an ask as the back 9 has some unique shots.
