What a lovely, interesting find. Would Recommend a visit here. Lift for getting up to the first level for disabled & wheelchair users. Completely Free to visit, Donations welcome.

Really interesting visit at the end of the pier. Free entry and worth a donation for all they do. Small shop for any gifts too

We headed here to escape the rain and spent a lovely 1hr 40 mins with our 2 boys aged 7 and 4. What a great place! Plenty of activities for the kids and some fab local history.

We spent a couple of hours in the museum. As we are originally from Orkney we are familiar with the RNLI. The displays were informative and well presented. Anybody interested in the RNLI will happily spend two+ hours here.

Well worth a visit, very interesting. We only spent half an hour there but quite enjoyed it. With free entry you certainly don't mind making a donation to the RNLI afterwards.

Excellent content, very informative and very child friendly with lots for them to do. Amazing volunteer today - took time to chat to family and ‘help’ with the role playing dressing up !

This must be one of the best small museums in the country.
Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers give you a warm welcome and this museum really is a fitting monument to the work of not only Henry Blogg but to all the crews of lifeboats.
This museum is well set out and contains many interesting exhibits including the centre piece of an old life boat.
There are many interactive elements within the museum and really help bring this history to life.
A visit to the lifeboat station at the end of the pier is a fascinating contrast to how things have changed and both are completely free to visit but a donation to help support the important work they do is well spent.

Great for a half hour or so look around. Very helpful staff / volunteers. Our older children enjoyed it too. Free to enter, donations welcome.

Having a public lift is brilliant – it takes wheelchairs (and able bodied folks) down from ‘The Gangway’ at the top to the RNLI museum at the bottom of the cliff. This building also has very good and accessible public toilets. Then we went along to the End of the Pier Show. Brilliant show and accessible. See review on their own section.

First time visiting. So glad we did. What an amazing man Henry Blogg was rescuing all those people under difficult circumstances. Monty was a huge pooch - enjoyed learning about his story too. Volunteers were lovely. Couldn't imagine going out into a Force 12 gale in that boat.... or crashing it over the deck of a floundering ship. Testimony to all the brave men and women who brave their lives to save others.

Hi. We are visiting cromer again next week. Im sure we will be coming down to the RNLI to see the boat. Can you tell me what night is practise night and what time they launch/return? Only managed to see it once before and it was breath taking. Thank you

Hello Mrs Williamson.
You are in luck. Tomorrow is the station open day which means full demonstrations by both lifeboat and lifeguards too. There will also be lots of stalls with home made cakes etc, a falconry display, children's activities and music, all to raise funds to keep the boats and crew saving lives at sea. It all starts at 10am with the lifeboats due to launch at around 3.15pm. Hopefully see you tomorrow.

Hi Andy,
We get lots of younger visitors and it's lovely to see them coming back time after time. There is quite a lot for them to do from dressing up in crew kit, measuring crabs and trying out the speaking tube.
If you decide to bring your children for a visit then please let us know what they thought.
