I had a great experience on the mountain with Debra. Wonderful hike and views of the mountain and stories by Debra. She knows this mountain and her passion about nature is wonderful.

Never again will I think that hiking is not a team-building activity. Debra was excellent to work with and worth every dollar. By the end of the trip, our group of 40 co-workers knew everyone's name and felt closer than ever. Oh, be sure to buy the homemade power bars!

Our company traveled to the Bay area for an offsite retreat, and we were lucky enough to hike with Debra, Will and Michael both mornings. From the beginning phases of planning our routes, Debra was incredibly attentive, thorough, and patient while we worked through our plans. She and her guides made the experience so impactful and meaningful. We saw the sunrise over the Tennessee Valley and gorgeous views of the GGB at Cavallo Point. All of our guests loved the experience and many cited it as the highlight of the trip. HIGHLY recommend Tam Hiking Tours for any hiking experiences - whether corporate or personal!

Debra was great! She gave us an unforgettable hiking experience. Her knowledge for the wildlife and the area was impressive to say the least. Next time we're back in the area, we will be contacting her again to take us out. Thanks again for the great memory and beautiful views.

Our family did a wonderful walk with Debra and Will. Our decision to visit the area was last minute when we had to cancel plans to visit Yosemite due to the close of the park during the wild fire. It was therefore hugely helpful that Debra responded to us very quickly and was happy to speak on the 'phone to us so that we could ask her advice and get everything organised in time. On the hike, she and Will couldn't have been nicer or more interesting to talk with - it felt as though we were out for a walk with good friends! They had so much to tell us and took us on a route through the woods and up Mount Tam that we'd not easily have found on our own. The views were absolutely stunning. Afterwards they helpfully gave us tips on how to spend the rest of our two days there.

I was lucky enough to have Debra guide my father and I on a tour of Mt Tam over the weekend and it was truly the highlight of my whole trip! She took great care during the whole experience, taking time to talk to me on the phone and set everything up so that it was a wonderful, personalized experience. She was so kind and thoughtful, making sure my father was doing well on the hike and that we got the most out of our hike. And her knowledge of the area, its history and people was amazing. It was a hiking and learning adventure. It's not easy booking a hiking trip with a stranger, but she made me feel safe and secure, and now she is family. I will return to San Fransisco and will definitely book her again. There are so many other hikes I want to go on!

This was our second hike with Debra, the first was 2-3 years ago (Tennessee Valley). We hiked Matt Davis Trail up to the Inn, with Debra sharing rich stories, history, and perspectives along the way; the climb is rewarded when you reach the Inn and soak in panoramic views of the Bay, San Francisco, and the Pacific. What really makes the hike, though, and the whole experience so fun, is Debra's experience, enthusiasm, and super-positive vibe. Next time we're back we're going to head out again with Tam Hiking Tours!

Our hike of Angel Island with Deborah and Will was a wonderful experience! They are both so knowlegeable, the weather in October was beautiful, a picnic lunch at the top of Angel Island was a meal to enjoy and we got great views of San Francisco! I would recommend sturdy walking shoes!

Can't say enough. First, the obvious: The hike was beautiful. Mount Tam is full of big views, stunning flora, and diverse wildlife. A great escape from the city. And a Bay Area staple. What else could you want?
Well, Debra. She made the trip. Her passion for the outdoors is infectious. From the history of the Douglas Fur (check out those pine cones!) to anecdotes about John Muir, Debra delivered the goods (literally, she brought us food). A true oral historian.
