The service is faster to MV, than going all the way down to Falmouth, but very limited number of trips

Despite promoting on website and being assured on the phone that tight datco bus connection worked fine. Missed the 2 pm MV ferry because of traffic. Can’t control traffic but this is a problem on Friday’s and possibly Thursday. Should not misrepresent on web. Wasting 2 1/2 hours in ferry terminal. Would have made alternate arrangements if not misrepresented.

If you don't need your car, the Seastreak Ferry is the way to travel. The hydroplane system provides a smooth ride in even rough waters. Both food and drinks are available on board. Reservations are recommended in season.

What a lovely way to head to Martha's Vineyard on the Seastreak Ferry !
The ride is quick the price is right the parking is good the seats are comfortable and there are snacks and drinks on board.
If you miss the ferry you can take the next one with an additional charge of only five dollars per ticket!

The Seastreak fast ferry from New Bedford gets you to Martha's Vineyard in an hour enabling you to enjoy an entire day there without having to spend the night.
The steamship authority ferry is a much longer ride and although it is cheaper much of your day is spent getting to the Vineyard and coming back.
We left on time and got there on time. The ship was clean and the staff was cordial.
It's easy to get to the docks from 195 and close to parking with a shuttle bus to get you to the dock and back.

We arrived at plenty of time, The boat was very clean. Inside and out was great. Comfortable enough to fall asleep on the way home. The seats are comfortable. They had drinks a snacks available, the fee wasn't bad and they had senior citizen rates.

If one is West of Cape Cod and traveling with a plan to visit Martha's Vineyard. The New England Fast Ferry puts you on the Island faster that one can drive to the Cape and take the ferry. Have to admit it is an interesting ride out of New Bedford, Mass, and to the Vineyard in about an hour. Have to admit that the boats are not as clean as they could be but it really is a historic time saver.

The fast ferry from newport to block island was very conveinent and fast. love the schedule of times too. ferry travel very comfortable too! great way to travel...sick of airport hassel travel. easy breezey!!!!block island is great!!!! love the island!!!!! thank you!!!!! can you add to the departure times though.... fall river doesnt have many choices.....
