To be sure, this is a wonderful ascent on one of America's most stunning peaks, slowly climbing 10,300 feet (hence the name of the restaurant Ten3) to the crest of the Sandia (meaning watermelon) Mountains, offering visitors an 11,000 square mile panoramic view that is nothing short of spectacular. At the top, depending on the time of day, you have a choice or restaurants, one casual (where we ate) and one formal. The formal requires reservations and a dress code. Both restaurants offer about the same meals, yet for the life of me I had to ask the maitre d' of the casual bar/restaurant, why in the world they needed a huge television, a television that depending on your setting, demanded that you view its screen, a total distraction, where I can not believe that anyone would pay for a ticket, ride the tram, toss down some rather hefty bucks for dinner and actually want to sit there and watch television as opposed to conversation with the view of a lifetime.
All of the eats are more than worthwhile, that said, you simply MUST try the tempura local fungi oyster mushrooms ($21) ... while our Bison Burger ($31) with green chile bacon, Tucumcari cheddar cheese and caramelized onions on a house made sesame seed bun as a staggering hit, I went home remembering those shroom, wondering where I'd find them again.
Still, I believe the loss of the big screen television would not be missed by anyone.

A three hour visit today consisted of 2 1/2 hours waiting in line for the tram. An older gentleman in front of me literally passed out during the wait (and it was later in the day not even during peak heat). The ride was pretty but totally not worth the trouble. They really should limit or better time their ticket sales because it results in quite a bad experience for their guests. Don’t bother.

We had a great time! Incredible views! Hiked late afternoon/evening and saw the beautiful sunset. The ride down was beautiful seeing the city lights. Highly recommend!

We started our day just soaking in the views and then had a great lunch at the restaurant. Food was great and so were the drinks. We hit a hiccup when we tried to leave because of high winds and were stuck at the top. I need to say how wonderful the staff was during this time, especially Positive Terrance. He did everything he could to make sure we were ok and got us down safely. Thank you Posi! So many memories made.

The views are spectacular as ascend and descend the Sandia Mountains!! If you are in Albuquerque this is a must do!! The lines aren't bad, but everything is done on line, so but your tickets ahead of time because you can't do it there.

The tram in NM is awesome. The price for seniors with tax was $34 but well worth it. The tram runs about every 15 minutes. The views are great. There is a restaurant at the top but a little pricy. There is a gift shop at the entrance . I would definitely recommend the tram.

The tram ride was worth every penny. We weren’t planning to hike at the top, but are so glad we did. The views are spectacular.

I take every tourist whenever they visit. It's a really nice view with great photo ops. The new restaurant at the top is a big improvement over past attempts and made the trip a lot nicer. I'd plan on lunch.
