The aromas are phenomenal The spices are fresh. The owner makes his own tasty blend. Bought gifts for friends including his own spice mix and Blood Orange Balsamic Vinegar. Best shop in Salem.

I just went back this year and he moved across the street to a very nice retail space! the owner was there on lazy rainy Sunday afternoon and was very warm and welcoming. This shop is a definite stop that we go to every year! Great selection with good prices.

My sister lives in Boston and visits this shop regularly. It is owned and run by David Bowie (not the famous one...). It is stocked with many spices and herbs you've probably never heard of, and David can tell you about each of them. If you don't see what you want, just ask. Or describe what you think you're looking for, and he will come up with some suggestions. Fun to look around here. There are some unusual mixes of salt with flavourings, plus my new fave blend: Za'atar. If you're a spice lover, don't miss this shop as you nose around the rest of Salem. It can be part of a lovely day!
