Wonderful spot for unique, gorgeous scents. The bottles last you FOREVER and are so reasonably priced. The employee who assisted me let me smell each scent I was interested in and gave recommendations based off my preferences.

She has a plethora of essential oils, fragrance oils, House Blends and a few collections she has created that smell amazing and last ALL day & night when you wear them. Want a custom scent made just for you? Be sure to make an appointment with Akuura to have one made! She'll take the time to find out what scents you like and what scents work best with your body chemistry to create for you a custom scent that will amaze you! You'll have people following you around just to ask you what scent you're wearing! No joke, Akuura created a custom scent for my hubby and he has people telling him how good he smells ALL the time! He won't leave home without it. If you can't make it to Salem, MA to stop by Aroma Sanctum be sure to place an online order from their website, you won't be disappointed! The quality of the oils they use are the best that can be bought, there are none better! I have been a customer of Aroma Sanctum for just a bit over 20 years and have a wonderful collection of 53 scents, 2 custom scents I had made and 51 scents from their House Blends and Collections. They do not sour or go rancid, as long as you keep them in a cool dark place, they'll last and last. When you wear them, just a little drop will do ya, the bottle will last you a very long time. Don't hesitate, stop by Aroma Sanctum or place an online order, Akuura or any of her staff will assist you if you have any questions, you won't be disappointed!

I love to wear scents, but sometimes it can be difficult to find the right one. The women who were working the day I walked in to Aroma Sanctum were so knowledgeable, and willing to take their time and help me find exactly the right scent for me. For a scent store, the atmosphere is NOT over-powering. They have a broad variety of scents, and they're available in a range of products, which are mixed up right there in the store. What a great find!

Stopped by here by chance and saw they had a huge selection of essential oils and perfume oils. The person working there mentioned they blended custom oils or perfumes, which we thought was unique. Ended up buying some of the Egyptian musk which smells way better then that cheaper knock off stuff. I can imagine a shop like this would be in paris somewhere :)

First of all, I really felt welcome in the shop, which is bright and not too saturated with scents.
And most important, these scents & perfumes smell great, from from the most subtil and delicate to the most aggressive and spicy... and they last longer than any other I've tried.
I really cant wait to try their custom made fragances when I next return to Boston area.
In the meanwhile I get my favourites online.

These ladies know how to make perfume! I came in, smelled them, and found a scent I loved. I was a little turned off when I heard the prices ($30+ for a glass vial) BUT I loved the scent so much I wanted to buy. Now, in my past, I always smell a tester, love it, buy it and hate right away. But not here! I have finally found a perfume I love! It lasts ALL day. Smells like I just applied it eve. 15 hours later and it is so complex and wonderous! Kudos! Will be buying my perfume forever from here because they know how to make good quality perfumes! Stay open!

Akuura is a self-trained perfumer whose scents are just wonderful. She gives you free reign to sniff away all her yummy perfumes--I could have bought them all. The two best things about Akuura are:
1. she can "sense" you (get it?) and help you pick out a scent that is right just for you. She correctly pegged me as a green/herbal and recommended her Absinthium which I just love. I don't think I would have picked that for myself.
2. she can custom create scents too. I love BPAL and many scents are routinely discontinued. She was able to recreate a favorite scent of mine, Sri Lanka, from my description alone. Amazing!
I plan to go back soon. And I live 6 hours away!

Very nice. Bought the "Dark Woods" blend. Also tried the "Scarlet Letter" blend. Pick your favorite blend and she can create lotions, soaps, shaving cream, etc. unlimited variations and original blends.

We visited here twice. The first was for soap. I was so amazed with it that I went back for oils. The smells were amazing and the staff so knowledgeable.

My best friend and I took the train from Boston to Salem to enjoy a beautiful
summer day. We wanted to walk around, have a bite to eat, visit the Essex Peabody
museum and just relax. One important stop was Aroma Sanctum located at 5 Central
St. My friend insisted that we go because she knew I was going to love it. Boy was she
right! What a wonderful shop and thrilling experience. I have always wanted to have
a custom blended fragrance made just for me. I dreamed of going to France and
having a secret blend that would be my unique signature fragrance. Well guess what?
Akuura, the owner and fragrance artist, blended one just for me. I won't spoil the secret
of how she arrives at the formula but it was fascinating. I felt so well cared for and so
elegant! This little shop with it's talented owner houses the most luscious, exotic,
natural oil fragrances that I've ever experienced. Be sure to go there when you
are in Salem. It is truly a lovely and memorable experience. Natural oils so no
commercial perfume headaches. And if you can take the ferry back to Boston. Such fun!
