My favorite part of my experience was the friendly staff. Brendan our waiter got our order in as soon as kitchen opened so we could get to our tour on time. Just a nice atmosphere in there. Got to watch our fave soccer team on TV , good food , great Guinness. 👍🏻

Stopped in for a quick dinner. Service was okay but food was very good, especially the Sheppard’s Pie Pastry! It was amazing! I can’t believe this does not exist in every pub across Canada and US! My sister also really enjoyed the Irish Curry.

We stopped in to have a drink and ended up staying for a couple. The staff was great, and we met some locals that were also wonderful. Great recommendations and conversation. Also bought a shirt while i was there , which was reasonably priced along with our drinks :). If we ever return, we will make sure to stop in again.

Came here for drinks early in the evening. There was a great live band Friday night consisting of 4 musicians playing fun Irish music. Got the crowd to clap and sing, a lot of fun. The drinks were amazing. They have a nice menu of fall inspired drinks including pumpkin martinis. I had an apple cider cocktail which was surprisingly different and good, caramel vodka/apple cider/ginger beer/cinnamon stick. Snacked on fries which were the thick potato style type. Only disappointment was that live music ended at 9pm. A DJ comes in at around 10:30pm and seems to turn more into a club/bar with lots of college kids showing up.

I recently visited O'Neils and I was very impressed. They had a live musician and I really got that Irish feel to everything. It had a great atmosphere with good food and drinks. I like how it is located in downtown Salem where a lot of events are held. I would most definitely visit again!.

Sucks! seriously, 4 hours and 5 people got to sing. Never coming back. Don't advertise karaoke, complain 40 people are lined up in cue to sing and continue to play dance music all night. They lost my credit card and gave me a big heart attack, thank God it finally showed up! 😑

Friendly place but it's just a typical bar with typical bar food and overpriced beer and drinks. Great meetup place for friends and to maybe watch a game on the weekend but really nothing special. The best part was a place to sit after walking around all day. Great wait staff!!

After walking all afternoon on a very hot and humid mid July day we came upon Oneill's Pub and Restaraunt. Upon entering the pub we heard a live group playing their instruments and singing old Irish tunes. The lighting was dim, almost dark however after being in the sun all day it was quite comforting. We were seated right away. A descent selection of craft beers were On the menu. Most importantly the beer was cold. We were kind of sad that the music ended at nine PM. However the experience of sipping on a cold one, in a darkened room with Irish folk songs playing was relaxing, soothing and enjoyable. We ordered some food in which we thought was good but not fantastic. Menu items included Shepherds Pie Rangoon's which were slightly over done, tater tot casserole covered in a cheese sauce, chicken wings and corn beef Ruben ETC your typical pub food.

Nice staff, friendly and attentive. Good food and prices... but... not a touristy place. More for locals I think. And has said before, not a place I would go on my own.

Myself and hubby stopped here for lunch on our day trip to Salem from Boston! Good beer selection and the food was good. Hubby had a beer and wings which he said were good - not the best he's ever had but good! I had the steak and cheese wrap (added mushrooms and onions) with onion rings. Onion rings were amazing, the wrap was good but a little too much juice in it made it a little soggy didn't have a ton of flavour but was good! Prices were cheap - $30 for two for lunch and service quick! Just wanted to point out they had a caesar bar there with all the fixings for brunch, looked great!
