The main building of this Botanical Gardens is truly exceptional. The flora is second to none. My only issue is the size of the buildings and grounds, On a Hot Summer day, that can be daunting. my personal favourite is the variety of Cacti.

Beautiful conservatory with excellent flora displays. It must be a nice oasis during the winter.
Be aware that aside from some flowers in the courtyard, there is nothing outside. There is only the conservatory.
There is ample free parking available. There is WiFi - ask for the code at reception.

We had an amazing time of the Botanical Gardens. The Conservatory was divided into several temperate zones. I actually saw three "corpse plants." While we missed seeing any flower from this plant, we also (happily) missed the smell. The koi were really interesting to observe with their different--and I learned that they were not just big goldfish.

My husband and I stumbled upon this Treasure within Buffalo some 10 years ago, when our daughter was at a nearby Cheer Competition. What can we say but WOW! The building itself is lovely! We love to go in late January early February, as the greenery and flora inside is not only refreshing to the eyes, but helps take away our Winter Blues. We go any time of year, however, any chance we get, with Family, Friends, or just ourselves. Love the sheer size of it, as well as the variety of plants. Then, we found out they have special plant exhibits, interspersed in between permanent plantings, and Night time Events as well. We are Hooked! I was given a Membership for Christmas this year, and cannot wait to use it to the fullest. Great part of Buffalo, good a reason as any to visit the area, and just plain lovely. You will Not be disappointed. Thank you!

Excellent place to visit midwinter, kids loved the bonsai trees, orchids, and cacti especially. Burst of green and warmth in a drab season.

I hate giving less than a 4 or 5, so gave it a 3 reluctantly. We have been to other arboretums and this didn't measure up. While the outside was beautiful (have seen both the ones in Paris and London), the inside failed to impress. The temperature didn't seem warm enough for the tropical and desert plants. Some of the ivys seemed dry and scraggly. The signs werent strategically place and it was hard to know which plant was described. The dinosaur displays were great and I'd think kids would love it. The "quiet" areas were very nice. However it just seemed to not be kept up.

Our team of horticulturists and volunteers work hard year-round to care for our extensive plant collection and create interesting exhibits. The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is currently planning an extensive expansion and renovation of several of our greenhouses and outdoor areas that is sure to breathe even more life into our spaces. We are also in the process of creating updated signage that will provide guests with a more coherent experience. We hope you are able to return again to experience our full potential.

Unfortunately this lovely garden display has suffered the loss of volunteers resulting in now being overgrown with weeds. There is a lot of great planting hiding in there but may soon be lost. Read of plans to put an addition on the building, perhaps a better choice would be to upgrade the outdoor gardens. Great potential.

Very tired facility. Nothing new or unique to see here. Go see the Olmstead Parks instead for more robust beauty.

We enjoyed our visit to the Botanical Garden. It is HUGE! It took us quite a while to get through it all. There was something going on the "event space" which kind of interrupted the flow of our visit.
One suggestion would be to label the bonsai trees for how old they are. Some are marked with a "In training since year _____", but very few.
Another suggestion would be a more direct/shorter walkway from the parking lot to the entrance. It is a long way around.
We did not walk the outside grounds, so I cannot comment on that, except that the flowers in the beds leading up to the entrance were lovely.
The employees were all very helpful and friendly.
