This is a lovely testament to the best players in the history of tennis. At Newport, Rhode Island, this is the original home of the US Open. There are displays of all players who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and the grounds are well preserved and still functioning today

I’m a tennis fan and loved this but even a casual fan of tennis would enjoy this. It not only shows the players through the years but provides context of their standing in the time period. The 2 men at the front counter were very friendly and obviously keen tennis fans/players

A fantastic place that will have tennis fans swooning. Truly exceptional setup, my only regret is we missed a tournament to be held there shortly.
The history of the game is displayed in all its glory all the way to the present time with VR displays and technology allowing one to experience Roger Federer exposing the nuances of the game to you almost in his presence.
Like visiting a miniature Wimbledon match!
Strongly recommended.

Unexpected delight, while visiting our friends in Rhode Island. This is a thoughtful curatorship of things tennis-related, with useful exhibits covering the history of the game, with no jingoism at all.
There are static exhibits (gear, fashions, information) as well as a great schedule of video (film) highlights of the most important events in the game over the years.
Outside are the beautiful buildings and grass courts which once featured the US Open event. And in summer ordinary folk can book in to play lawn tennis here! Enough to make one want to emigrate!
There is a merchandise shop, but it is low-key.
Clearly done with love and respect for all involved in the game.

Plan on 1.5hrs unless you want to read a majority of the player history exhibits. The exhibits and grounds are historically interesting and if you’re a tennis player or fan you should find it a great place to visit.

I have been watching tennis since the 80s and i thoroughly enjoyed the museum. Loved the history and loved seeing memorabilia from my favorite players. The price was reasonable and it took about 90 mins to go through the inside and another 15- 30 mins outside. But the best review i can write is my friend never followed tennis and she enjoyed it as well. Worth the time especially on a rainy day.

If you love tennis you should stop here. Interesting artifacts and history. A bit overpriced for the size of the museum but its fun to see what they have.

Interesting way to kill a few hours while in Newport. This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. I am not a tennis fan but I did enjoy walking around the beautiful grounds, learning about this property and seeing beautifully maintained grass courts. There is a museum, restaurant and numerous tennis courts. If you’re into tennis, I would check this place out!

I was really surprised with how much I enjoyed visiting the museum. It's full of so much history and information about the sport of tennis. Really fascinating!! If you enjoy tennis you really need to visit this museum.

There were several areas that were free without paying an admission fee. We spent some time enjoying those. We are not tennis fans so that was sufficient for our purpose
