Wonderful location. Entertainment was top notch. Might want to practice a hula before going in case you get pulled on stage!

Had an amazing time. Informative and entertaining. The buffet was way better than a played dinner. The variety of that was the best to pick and choose (pick the brisket) from. Get there early an find out the correct line to be in as this was confusing and no one there to ask at the park area. Arrive early and get a closer spot to the front and they also dismiss your tables in that order to eat. We did the gold ticket and it was still a great time. The MC was also great and interactive👍🏼 Definitely a good choice

Mixed reviews on this site reflect the fact that this luau isn't for everyone. Yes it's on the expensive side, and it's not a perfect representation of a Hawaiian Luau. But it's a very entertaining evening right on Hilton Hawaiian Village property which not only makes it very convenient for those staying here - but honestly there was a lot of additional things to like. While it didn't have a roast pig, it had a lot of very good food. Four meat choices, lots of veggies and sides - the food part was honestly very good. Plus dessert which was good. I recommend getting the VIP tickets - it's a few bucks more, but you are guaranteed good seats up front, plus you get to enter early and enjoy some of the other benefits within the luau like temporary tatoos, island crafts, and a plentiful bar. The Mai Tai drinks weren't weak - definitely a nice mix. The dancers worked their hips off, very nicely done. Our Emcee was a great host, a solid performer/singer, and told a nice story. The musicians were also excellent multi-talented and good singers too. Really there was a lot to like for this, and if it's a little expensive - then you get what you pay for. Most likely you're on vacation - enjoy it.

Very blah. It's very expensive, too commurcialized, does not include the firepit pig, is done too early to enjoy a fire show, and they take the buffet away as soon as everyone has taken their first plate. I could have better used my time and money on something else.

Very enjoyable experience. Food was very good and plentiful. Entertainment was very enjoyable. Learned a lot about Polynesia, the dances and the story behind them. Dancers stayed after for pictures

The Waikiki Starlight Luau at the Hilton Hawaiian Village is definitely entertaining but I'm not sure I would have been happy paying the price of admission to experience it.
Let me explain, I received two complimentary Luau tickets for attending a two hour time share presentation at Hilton Grand Vacations.
In my mind I thought two hours of my time was worth the 300 plus dollars I would have had to pay for two tickets to the luau. Interestingly enough minus the food, you can see the entire show FREE by standing just outside the ropes or from your balcony of the surrounding towers.
The buffet style food was tasty enough and the line up not too bad to manage. You do get a welcome lei (although a bit rushed) a welcome drink (Mal Tai) and a drink ticket for a future drink.
It's over before you know it giving you time to do something afterwards, but 150 plus per person, might be too steep for me.

HHV Starlight Luau has great food, show & ambience. Luau crew are very friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back!

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT ! Me and my nephew had a wonderful time ! It was his first time he had ever been in Hawaii and even though I had been many many times I wanted to make sure he saw the starlight luau !

Amazing how the staff had everyone seated for the food to be gotten (buffet style, 2 lines each location), eaten and the show to begin on time. We had wonderful seats (bought PREFERRED seating), the entertainment was just how a luau should be: Dancing, fire, singing, storytelling and the best was the weather! Perfect sunset~dress comfortably with good walking shoes as the seating is on grass and dirt patches, no heels! Great Mai Tais and delicious variety and selection of local food items. COME HUNGRY!! One of the BEST I've been to.

I've been reading the reviews, both positive and negative. Still uncertain that we would do this. We are staying at the hotel and the price is exorbitant for an evening of entertainment. Some people said they were given free tickets. How do we tap into that for a family of four? I wanted to have a true Hawaiian experience. If there are complimentary tickets to be had, please let me know how I can tap into them. We are going at the end of September.
