This was such an amazing sunset cruise and fully worth the cost! We were a little unsure at first as there are so many options to choose from, but hands down this should be your #1 choice. Ian and Kea were amazing hosts and made sure we felt comfortable, got nice photos, and had full drinks the entire time. We met lovely people on the cruise as well and overall had an amazing time. The sunset view was amazing, definitely one of our favourite experiences thus far. Great for people 21+ for the open bar aspect, but there were babies and kids that seemed to have an amazing time too. 1000% recommended and would jump at the chance to do it again!

We have been sailing with Mai tai and Capt Ian everytime we visit Waikiki. Been coming since 2007. Best Catamaran around.

This is a great time. Do this every time we are in Hawaii. The people are really nice. the captain is great. Originally from Oregon. The mai tai's were really good.

A sunset, a catamaran, and unlimited Mai Tais… the perfect recipe to cap off a trip to Hawaii. The crew was friendly, hospitable and well-skilled at running a safe cruise while still maintaining the high-fun level. If you’re looking for something fun and unique to do in Waikiki, look further- the Mai Tai Catamaran is the right choice! 10/10!!!

Just right—90 minutes sailing over fun waves. Not too splashy and beautiful views of Diamond Head. Ian and Ryan super capable, safety conscious and just superbly kind. A couple of beverages were just right. Great experience for reasonable price. (We’re seniors). Would go again.

- Captain Ian and Ryan were both awesome!
- Check-in was easy in front of the Sheraton, we took the Fort DeRussy Boardwalk to the Sheraton and really enjoyed it
- They had non-alcoholic canned mocktails that we enjoyed, really like the cucumber mint seltzer
- Two different experiences to enjoy
Back of the boat: chill, don't get wet, more access to the crew (& bar!), beautiful views
Front of the boat: adventure, going to get wet, Ryan (or whoever, will definitely come talk to you and answer questions, have a chat, take your drink order), beautiful views
- $50 per person is great for getting out on the water and the drinks are affordable, bring cash!
- Would definitely come back, we took the early cruise and next time will try the evening option
- Recommendation: take this cruise early in your visit and maximize the opportunity to converse with the crew, they are extremely knowledgeable regarding the island and will give you tons of tips and recommendations for your trip on Oahu

Super nice and scenic sail from Waikiki beach out past Diamond Head for about 1.5 hours. The crew was great and served up the "best MaiTai's on a boat in Waikiki" or say they say. Drinks were quite reasonable and we had a great time. The Maita'i catamaran staff helped me out a lot as Groupon totally messed up our booking. I thank them for that and strongly suggest you book direct with this vendor and do not through Groupon.

We stumbled across this tour while at the beach and we're so glad we booked it. The staff was so fun and knowledgeable, the mai tais on board were delish and being on the water was so fun! Such a cool way to experience Waikiki. Just make sure you keep your valuables and cameras in the waterproof compartments because the front seats can get some fun splashes! My husband and I had such a great time and would have booked it again if they weren't already booked up!

We had an excellent experience on Maita'i Catamaran! Captain Ian & Kiah are amazing! This was our third summer going on this catamaran with our family and is a must do every time we visit Oahu! It is so nice to see Waikiki & Diamond head while riding along the coast. If you are visiting this area, make sure to put this experience on your list.

Do this Catamaran tour!! This is our 4th visit to Honolulu and our 2nd time doing this tour!!
We love it! The crew is awesome, nice drinks for purchase , spectacular view of Diamond Head, turtles swimming and LOTS of FUN!!
We did the 11am ride and it was a great way to kick off a Friday!!
It is worth every penny and if your budget limits the amount of activities make this an exception!!!

Just as you board, you take shoes/slippers/water walking shoes etc. Off..They are trying to keep deck clean, it makes it easier/safer to walk around when its clean.

I preferred the sunset cruise. It is often very crowded or sold out. Find a seat the view is fantastic

Best way to book online? Im outside of the U.S so its telling me to call and make a reservation. Is there any way i can reserve online? Would be a lot more convenient

Hi I'm from Australia, I just booked through their website. Its on the Trip Advisor page, or you can just Google it. I received email confirmation quickly and supporting documentation. We did the Sunset sail, it was fantastic

As far as I’m aware yes & it’s very safe. The sunset has alcohol included but could do earlier tour with kids which won’t have alcohol if that’s an issue for you

Looking to purchase tickets for the 90 min (morning or afternoon) sail as a gift for my sister-in-law & her family (includes 3 yr old + 12yr old) while they are on vacation. Is this a family friendly activity? I've read a couple reviews that say it's a booze cruise, which I don't want for the kids. Is morning or afternoon better for smoother ride?

We went with our son and his family and the kids 6 yr old twins loved it they sat near the front and got splashed with water and although they sell booze they are cognizant if the children on board. We have been on this particular boat 3 times

Lisa,,,,,,I see that the catamaran can old about 49 people........when you went was it that crowded? Should I be concerned about such a big crowd?

It was crowded when I went. Every seat on the catamaran was taken but it didn’t feel overly packed.
