It was not easy to find, the entrance was hidden inside a golf course/country club, so easy to miss. The hike itself was pretty quick and simple, unfortunately, it is not a well-maintained path and the falls were pretty dry that day. It was an okay experience, there were some cool views on the way up to the falls but overall I would not really recommend it.

Nice hike through the jungle. The falls aren't overly impressive and you definitely can't swim in the tiny pool at the bottom, but the hike was a nice short hike.

We missed the blue arrow, ugh! Don't miss the arrow!!! We walked for about an hour past it, not good. A ways after turning back, we past a couple that had done the same thing and sent us on the right path, thank God. The falls were just a trickle when we were there, not really worth seeing. Bring bug spray! Our daughter got 15 mosquito bites.

We hiked up from Kionale Road. Paid for the parking at the church 45-550 Kionaole Rd, Kaneohe, HI 96744 , $10. There was someone out at least casually looking over the cars so I felt it was safer than the street for sure.
Easy hike that was made with a 4 yr old and Grandma 74. Turn Left before the water tank and Right at the Blue arrow and you can't miss it. If you don't find these 2 landmarks, you can follow the trail higher and higher. Not sure where you will end up, so look for the Blue Arrow. Beautiful vistas and lots of shade on the trail. We did it with Tennis shoes, highly recommend water.

Great trail and waterfall but PAY TO PARK!! Our car had side and rear windows smashed out and things stolen 😭

It’s best to do the lookout and the falls together in one trip. You park at the golf course and you will pay 10.00 to park if you don’t want to park outside and walk in. The hike is little more than a mile total. You get a nice glimpse at the Oahu jungle. It’s a beautiful setting. No part of the hike is difficult though it can get a little muddy. The falls are beautiful and the water refreshing. Wearing water shoes is your best bet to navigate around the falls. This was a great setting and a fun family hike.

The waterfalls are nice but I wouldn’t call it an easy hike, it is very muddy and you have to duck under lots of tree branches. We totally missed the arrows in the trees to turn right. We were looking for more of a fork or T in the path. Really it was a right turn off the path which kept going straight. The arrows were green and blue spray-painted into the trees. We were not the only ones who missed the arrows either, as we ran into some folks who made the same mistake! We turned around and saw the arrows on our way back and ended up making it to the falls, which were very nice.

If you’re looking for a family friendly hike, this one is for you. Very short hike about 15-20 minutes walk if you park by the Ko’olau Golf Club. Other options to do this hike is park by Pali lookout then hike down from the old Pali road which is a bit longer. The trail is easy to find. However, it can get muddy and slippery. Watch your step.

Ample free parking, easy navigation, child (not stroller) and dog friendly, pleasant forest scenery and a waterfall ... what’s not to like? As a result of the above, the trail and falls can get busy on weekends and holidays. The shallow lower pool is great for cooling (and cleaning the mud from) tired feet. Bug spray and treaded shoes recommended.

Easy hike. Park at edge of golf park lot - right when u enter. Go immediately up and over small low chain fence - follow path to graffiti covered reservoir - take path to left right BEFORE reservoir. At first T take a right and another 10 minute over roots and east mud to falls. Nice, easy, pretty family friendly.

Is this waterfall always crowded with tourist? What's the best day/ time to go? Is there a near by secluded beach?

There were a few groups coming and going when we went up but really had the falls to ourselves for pictures. We went around noon on a week day. There is really not a beach near by.

Is there a general admission or parking fee? Can we swim in the water once we reach the falls? Is it an easy or hard hike?

I really suggest paying the $10 at the church parking lot. Other than that, no fee to access the trail. You can park on the street and get to the trail, but no one is watching your car.
The pool is quite shallow, not really able to swim.
It is a relatively easy hike if you are mobile. No great incline. If it has rained recently, it will be very muddy and slippery.
