I have the announcement! Up! A Great Bird and Sea Lion Adventure is a stage show that will premiere on May 27, 2023, at Cincinnati Zoo. It is a rethemed version of Wings of Wonder. Show summary ----------------- The new version offered guests the chance to see the trainers with everyone's favorite characters Korrina, Iris, Jenny Wakeman, and Kyururu as they discover species of mammals and birds from around the world including the California sea lions in their newest adventure at the Wings of Wonder Amphitheater. There were up-close encounters each day with amazing winged creatures, mammals, reptiles, and sea lions. The moat will have sea lions and other aquatic birds including pelicans. The sea lion presentation is based on Georgia Aquarium's Truist Pier 225. It's open almost every day of the year; however, many animals will be off exhibit in case of inclement (or just cold) weather). Such interior displays as the insect and reptile houses will still be available. In the case of the hippos, it can't be less than 44 F.

The gardens are incorporated into and throughout the zoo; there's no separate "garden area" or fee for viewing. A visit to the zoo is like walking through a tropical paradise; you'll enjoy!

We just got back from the Zoo. A few tulips were starting to open. They won't be blooming by next week. It's been really cold here in Ohio recently. Sorry...too soon for bloom

When we were there in October the animals were very active; however, I'm not sure about if it's colder weather how active the animals are. The zoo has a lot of trees which causes shade and I know animals like to lay in the sun. Maybe checkout reviews that were written around the month you're going in past years and that might help you gage their activity during certain times. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
