we brought the kids to go there, the kid can get ranger book there and get the ranger badge if they fulfilled the requirement. There are some exhibits inside, also there may be some workshop or activities can do, (but may need to pay, you can see the park newsletter for details), outside the center, there is a trail you can walk, it's a leisure walk, you can use stroller as well.

They have art classes and wonderful animal exhibit. We learnt so much about the flora and fauna around the area. The staff is wonderful. This is a great place for the jr ranger program and getting into some fun scavenger hunts and learning. Definitely go across the bridges to see some lovely rivers.

The Nature Center was closed between 12 and 1, so I wandered off to explore some of the islands around Happy Isles and returned later in the afternoon.
This is a great place for folks of all ages. Children were creating art, folks were enjoying the displays, and the staff was available to answer questions. After a quick walk through, I continued with my long hiking day.

Centro che praticamente si incontra alla fine del sentiero che sale lungo il fiume.. forse questione di gusti e di interesse, ma la parte più interessante è certamente la camminata durante la quale oltre alla natura si possono vedere alcuni punti particolari come ponti o gli attrezzi che indicano il livello dell’acqua.

The so-called nature centre consisted of a shuttle bus stop and a volunteer naturalist seated at a table under an umbrella stand. She had maps and a couple brochures to hand out and dispensed info on the attractions and trails in the area.

We stopped in to see the exhibits and learned a few new things. Really nice feature to grab some art supplies and head out. The surrounding area is a great place to kick back and watch the river run. Wear mosquito spray!!

Although small the Nature Center is packed with information on the Park and its inhabitants. Lots of short walking trails along the water too.

The Nature Center was closed when we were there in December but we really enjoyed walking the nearby short trail across the bridge. That morning the weather was perfect, sun started to shine glimmering the river which in some parts were frozen. It was so quiet and peaceful, no sound except for the flowing water and birds chipping. Nice photo opportunities. To get here, you can walk from Half Dome Village or take the free shuttle.
