Nice small cave, no tourists and the option for swimming. Do it on your own with good shoes (slippery ground). We took a guide for 15 minutes and they charged us 50k after return. By doinig it on your own you can walk much deeper inside the cave. We recommend bringing an own torch.

A spectacular find. My girlfriend and I went here by ourselves, it’s just across the wooden toll bridge out of town. Free parking there and 10k kip entry fee. The girls at the desk will give you a headlamp and offer to guide you into the cave. I STRONGLY recommend you accept their offer. I’m pretty sure they do it for free and you can give them some tips after. We went in by ourselves and walked/crawled for 30 minutes before we decided to turn back, we actually took a wrong turn on the way back and that was quite scary. We prefer to do things by ourselves but I think the guide would of really improved the experience. It’s like a sauna as you get deep into the cave so it’s probably a good idea to swim in the pool at the cave entrance after. Bring clothes you don’t mind crawling around in. We were covered in wet clay by the time we got out and backpack was torn when crawling through the narrow passages. An excellent experience but come prepared and use the guide.

Wo kann man sonst für € 1.- allein in einer Höhle umherwandern. Nur ausgestattet mit einfacher Kopflampe.

This cave seems to be a local secret and isn’t even mentioned in google maps. We found out about it from our hotel owner whose hotel is just a couple of kilometres away from here. There is a sign with a description of it on the main road so it’s easy to spot if you are passing by.
You walk down a dirt track to get to the entrance of the area where there is free bicycle and motorbike parking and a small hut where you pay the 10000 kip entrance fee. After you pay the entrance fee they will give you a headlight to wear into the cave and then you need to walk further past rice paddies, up steps over a fence, across a couple of rickety bamboo bridges and finally to the entrance to the cave and also the small pond where you can swim.
We went into the cave first. We had never been into a cave on our own before, so that was a new experience for us. There were no other visitors there and it was nice having the area to ourselves. The path through the cave is surprisingly long and there was probably a lot more that we didn’t explore. Towards the entrance there are lots of handprints and messages on the wall from past visitors. One was dated 1910, but we were a bit skeptical that it was that old. Going further into the cave there are some larger caverns and some great stalagmites, stalactites and other formations. It’s a bit eerie being in a cave on your own, but pretty cool at the same time.
After the cave we swam in the pond which had an interesting rock formation at its centre as well a crystal clear water which due to the limestone was coloured a beautiful shade of cool blue. Some jerks had decided to use the area as their personal ashtray and I found three cigarette buts in or close to the water which was infuriating, but other than that the place was very clean. There is a garbage bin nearby and also an enclosed area where you can change into your swimming gear. The pond is nestled below some impressive cliffs and there are small fish in the water that will gently nibble at your legs if you sit in the water at the edge. Being here on our own with such a gorgeous view was quite romantic. That was probably our favourite bit.
The walk back to the entrance was very nice was spectacular scenery that reminded us of Jurassic Park.
We were very glad we found this piece of paradise.
