The walk was worthy regardless of the lack of water going over the falls. Road was under construction, so it will eventually be a really easy bike ride out there, as even with the construction it was still pleasant.

Must have been lovely, before the diggers arrived and before the almost-stalled roadworks started. But now not a good choice of excursion, especially by bike in the February dry heat. Waterfall still pretty despite the low water volume. Refreshing swim in the pool beneath the small first waterfall. But the “improvements” have so far had the opposite effect.

Major road works most of the way there. Then reconstruction of the track to the falls, making it very treacherous and slippery if wet. Then only a trickle of water over the falls

Magnifique cascade. Nous étions seuls quand nous y sommes allés. Assez difficile d'accès car route en mauvais état mais qui est en train d'être refaites sur une partie. Gratuit pour le moment mais payant d'ici peu je pense car ils sont en train d'aménager escaliers et autres juste avant la cascade. Gros bémol impossible d'y rester car ÉNORME invasion de moucherons, dommage. Baignade très agréable malgré tout. Seulement 10min de marche depuis parking, facile.

I went up the trek while it was raining and I was pleasantly surprised that nobody was here. The drive up was bumpy but bearable. The hike up was very muddy but we could still go up carefully without slipping and it wasn't that far. There was a mini waterfall before we got up. but the actual waterfall was gorgeous and since it just rained it was flowing very hard. It wasn't super difficult to get to and not very touristy unlike the blue lagoons so I definitely recommend.

Me and my friend rented mountain bikes and decided to cycle to the waterfall. It was quite exhausting to drive through the heat, so we were really looking forward to cool down in the fall. The main waterfall is super pretty, it is only 10 minute walk through the jungle from the parking lot. The trek is good, however the bin that are provided along the way are overflowing with rubbish and in urgent need of emptying before all the plastic is blown into the forest.
We couldn't swim in the big waterfall cause it was quite shallow but there are some ponds along the way which are very nice and cold.

Even though there is no doubt that the waterfall has more power in rainy seasons, the area was relaxing and beautiful. There were no other people than us, which made it even more breathtaking. It felt like a hidden gem in the jungle, even though we just paid 10.000 LAK/p.p. to see it.

Bien sûr ça reste une cascade comme on en trouve des millions partout dans le monde. Rien d'extraordinaire du point de vue visuel. Cependant elle vaut le détour car on y accède par un joli petit chemin qui permet d'accéder à de petite chute et des vasques d'eau clair ou il est facile de se baigner.
A l'arrivée à la cascade on peu facilement se mettre dessous et profiter d'une belle douche rafraîchissante !
Le chemin pour y parvenir depuis VangVieng fait 6 km mais est particulièrement défoncé. C'est faisable à pied ou en scooter mais en vélo c'est... sportif !
Il est conseiller d'y aller tôt le matin pour éviter la foule qui y arrive à partir de 10 heure du mat. Et surtout évitez le Blue Lagoon qui est une grosse blague pour touristes lobotomisés

About 7 Km East of Vang Vieng .
A lovely place to cool off Kaeng Nyui Waterfall.
You will arrive at the office to pay park fees about 2 dollars and the a lot of restaurants then walk up the path, at the top you will find the waterfall well worth the walk

Loved visiting here. Loved the fact we had a local guide with us. It was a bit of a trek to the main waterfall. The guide helped us walk past the main waterfall as it took your breathe away. He also showed my son how to safely jump into the plunge pool. Great enjoyment here.
The road there was really bumpy in a 4 x 4, so think carfully about how you travel there.
