Schlecht ....
2020年2月

Cool place to check native animals
2019年12月 • 夫妻情侣
A touch pricey for admission for what you get. I thought the james bond part was cool where they show you the movie, and our guide also threw a live chicken to the crocs. Not the ideal thing to see but thats nature at its finest. Guide was knowledgable about animals!

Swamp safari off live and let die Falmouth Jamaica
2019年2月 • 夫妻情侣
Crododile swamp safari.

We found this trip by accident as we passed by it one day and asked our driver, it wasn't offered by tui so we asked our agent to speak to one of the other reps and arrange it, (any Bond fan this is a must :-) )
When we arrived (around 45 mins from lucea on the way to brae river ) after getting a red stripe we were introduced to a young lady called who took us round the park, it's all fenced off but on the croc side they just live in their natural habitat.
There was loads of different animals and she spoke about them all, you also get to hold a snake, tortoise and small croc, and you can have your picture whilst doing it, with your own phone/camera.
When we got to the main croc part she fed some of them , they came straight over when she opened the tin of meat.
Then we got to the famous small island and the house where the croc scene happened in live and let die, got a picture on that , its overgrown but they are clearing the area to make it tidy like on the film, recreation of kanagas drug house is there too. The walk round lasted about 1 hour , maybe little more. We really enjoyed this trip here.

Great way to spend a morning
2019年5月 • 家庭
We spent a lovely morning at the swamp. We had the place to ourselves with our guide. It's small but have a variety of animals to view. Our guide was lovely and extremely knowledgeable. This is not a big zoo with modern facilities but they care for the animals they have a great deal. It is not really promoted like most attractions so not a lot of people know about it. We are a family that love crocs so we enjoyed it very much. Remember to spray yoursef all over before you go in or you will be eaten by mosies.

Great attraction despite not being widely advertised at resorts
2019年5月 • 夫妻情侣
This Swamp Safari Village is located a few minutes away from the main highway in Falmouth; it is host to a lot of crocodiles and rescue animals. It is a nice place to visit and allows you to see parts of Jamaica that have not been over commercialised for tourists as this tour isn’t one of the main tours advertised by the resorts.

The tour takes approximately about 1 hr 30 minuets and costs $25USD each which isn’t much considering the cost it must encounter to feed and look after all the animals especially the crocs. The tour is mainly centred on the crocodiles and the fact that the site is famous for the scene where James Bond escapes by running over the crocs backs in the movie Live and Let Die.

Some of the other animals that can be seen here include Rabbits, Jamaican Coney’s, Mon-geese, Snakes, Parrots, Hawks, Owls, Doves, Wild boars, Raccoons, Deer, Turtles, Iguanas and even a Capuchin monkey; who was confiscated from an illegal trader. It did have its own aviary but after a big storm earlier in the year it unfortunately lost its roof which resulted in all the birds escaping.

The tour guide whose name I can’t remember (sorry) was very friendly and very knowledgeable of all the animals. When we asked her questions it was apparent by the way that she replied you could tell that she took great pride in her job and that really liked her job. During the tour there were a few moments where the guide would feed the crocs; despite being in captivity the staff would try their best to replicate things as if the crocs were living in the wild. When meat was thrown into the area for them they would scramble and fight each other like they would in the wild. The staff even attached meat to the end of a pole dangling it above the crocs to make them jump and lunge for their food as they would have to when trying to get food in the wild. These illustrations did really demonstrate the reality of the power of these amazing creatures which needs to be respected especially should you ever find yourself in a bad situation with one in the wild.

This tour was exciting from start to finish and I think it is a must do experience unless you are someone who does not like seeing animals in any caged environment. Some of the best highlights for us were being able to hold a baby croc and feeding the deer from our hands; both of which unless you have been to many zoos or animal parks you will never have been able to experience before.

Croc safari park, awesome. US $25 ea with guided tour that took 1 hr 20 mins. This is where the James Bond Movie LIve and Let Die was filmed and you get to see the area where it was made and see the movie clip inside the local hut which was built in place of the hut that was burned down during the movied because it was an ex drug house. Had a really good time here but i timed it right as the tours i think are ever 30mins or every hour and i only had 5 mins to wait as there was no one else there. I arrived around 10.30 to 11 am. Lots of other animals present also and they take you to each one and feed some. There is one original crocodile left from the movie there also as the others have died. Our guide was amazing and very friendly and the other staff that helped her out feeding the crocs were awesome.

The tour was great! I'm sad that I cannot remember our guides name but she was extremely knowledgeable of all the animals. She really took a lot of pride showing us around and she genuinely loves her job. It really shows that that take great pride in being a refuge for these animals. I was also super excited that we got to hold a crocodile and a turtle. From start to finish it was an exciting tour.
