The tour was amazing, I learned so much. It was super affordable (especially for a 2 hour tour) and super accessible as the tour is mainly in/transported by a tram(?). The guide was knowledgeable and super receptive to questions. He said that the park can be accessed without the tour but if you do the tour you get to park within the property and I did the trails after the tour knowing what to expect! The lighthouse is under construction from hurricane damage but the guide was excited about the reimagining of it upon reopen, I would definitely recommend! I booked the tour on their website.

We took this guided night tour and it was wonderful - an easy guided walk through the dry forest and to the beach. Learned about local animals and different types of Koki frogs. We got to hear the sounds of the different koki frogs and saw some. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

We called a number in the guide book to see if we could get a tour or visit and after the 3rd call were finally able to leave a message but we never got a call back.

We signed up for a "Boardwalk tour of bioluminescence." Leg issues prevent us from getting in and out of kayaks, so we signed up for this tour. You meet at the reserve headquarters, see a beautiful sunset and then a short slideshow. Then off in the tour van to the El Faro del Fajardo lighthouse where we able to see the southern cross, a first for us. Down in Laguna Grande, we walked on a 1/2 mile long boardwalk through a mangrove swamp out into the bay. If you're tall, don't bump your head on the termite nest in the tree along the way! Once in the bay, we used 8 foot long poles to stir the water. Everywhere you stirred, the water lit up with the glow of microscopic dinoflagellates. So cool!! Then we went to a beach where we saw bioluminiscent copepods in the sand along the edge. These are 1/2 inch long shrimp-like animals that flash on and off like lightening bugs. A wonderful trip to add to your stay in Puerto Rico!

Conservation of the lighthouse is great. Beside has a great view of four kinds mangrove. You can also see the beach of rock, not for swimming.

This is a great tour, with a very professional guide. Reservations are required. We were going to be in the area for a week and when I looked on our first day, only Spanish tours were available. All the English ones were booked. So if you need English, book early. The cost is worth it (it was about $27 after tax for 2 people). I speak enough Spanish to have learned a lot from the guide, but my guess is that the guide would have explained things to people in English if someone asked for it. He definitely spoke English, since he answered my question in broken Spanish in english! Highly recommended, educational tour.

We enjoying learning more about the ecosystems on the tour and the views from the lighthouse are stunning. Our guide Sarah was very engaging and we learned so much! Our group was all adults but the kids on the tour seemed to really enjoy it.
