Had a wonderful tasting with Ian. He was so friendly and it was so much fun. We had a group of 8 people and just dropped in late in the afternoon, it didn't phase Ian at all. Met the 2 beautiful dogs and bought the mystery pack, and some other lovely wines. All the wines were great.

I would put this winery on the must-go-to list if you are in Wanaka. It is a small winery, but the intimacy of the tasting coupled with the quality of the wines made this place stand out. The tasting is at the winemaker's home, complete with dogs and chickens! The winemakers are super friendly and spend time with you explaining the wines an answering questions i a super casual environment. We ended up purchasing a bottle of pinot noir. A unique experience (and we've visiting A LOT of wineries around the world); I highly recommend.

Our trip to Wanaka was complete with a trip to Aitken’s Folly Winery. Ian was very welcoming and the wines were great. And, very cute and friendly dogs, too.

Tasted 5 wines with Fiona. She was very friendly and informative. We had a wonderful conversation about her wines and wine in New Zealand. We enjoyed to experience. Notes: due to the construction, it can be hard to find. Google and Waze brought us to two different places—both were wrong. Call them before setting out and they will explain how to get there. It is worth the effort.

Loved this wine tasting. Great wines and wonderful welcoming host. My favourite wines out of all the many wines we tasted. Highly recommended.

Fantastic...best we have had...will buy more b 4 price goes up
We have now made two purchasers from this great winery, over 6 dozen bottles
Its in our option the best in NZ, hand crafted and all with REAL flavor, try the Chardy Riesling & Pino Gris all fantastic - as is there Pino full range
Did i mention the racing ducks, ohh yes they are a sight to see
Make shore you allow some time, as there's plenty to see & toast, and Ian is a great host and has some marvelous stories to relate
PS Tips, they ship all around the world, and not much extra - ask about there accommodation and the free camping i the vineyards [could be free with wine purchase]

We visited on new years’ eve. When we arrived we got a lovely welcome from Freckles the dog and walked into a very cosy tasting room. Ian told us their story of how they set up and started living the dream. Each wine was lovely, and we left with Chardonnay (even when we’re usually not the biggest Chardonnay drinkers!) and the Pinot Noir 2018. We would’ve left with more had we not been visiting from London! Very memorable and we really enjoyed it, thanks Ian!

Best wine to taste! This place appears off the beaten track and doesn't have the grandeur of others in the area, but the wine (and friendliness) is number one in Wanaka. This is a must do!
