一个可爱的坐的山上的一个古色古香的村庄Mohos去吃了可爱的教堂还有一个很棒的午餐很值得票价。 做了一个令人愉快的旅行

Great value and unforgettable

George is very accommodating and tries to ensure that people who know each other can sit together. I felt he allowed a good amount of time at each location, such as at the Tavernas and at the monastery that we visited. He offers a half day tour and an hour tour at 5pm too, both are great. It's a good value way to see the real Sissi and surrounding areas, away from the main tourist trail.

Niks te zien. Veel stops waar niks is te zien. Kunt beter de bus pakken. Voor het geld wat je betaald!

Voor kinderen is het wel leuk

Rit Malia-Chersonissos gedaan. Duurde 1,5u. Onze dochter van 2 jaar vond het leuk, maar voor enkel volwassenen zou ik het niet aanraden. Zitplek is niet heel comfortabel, er werd (ivm de drukte) afgeraden om het treintje uit te gaan omdat je dan lang zou moeten wachten totdat je weer terug kon. Hierdoor amper iets gezien. Pak dan beter een taxi of huur een auto om de dorpjes te gaan verkennen.

In de vakantie hebben wij 2 keer het treintje genomen. Eén keer de rit van 1.5 uur naar Chersonissos, Stalis en Malia. Deze rit was zonde van de tijd en het geld. Weinig te zien onderweg en de plaatsjes die aangedaan werden waren zoals alle toeristische plaatsjes.
De tweede keer namen we de rit naar Kresi. Eerst deden we een olijfolie bedrijf aan, welke ook gratis te bezoeken is voor anderen. Voornamelijk was het een duur toeristisch winkeltje.
Daarna naar het bergdorpje. Hier waren 2 kerkjes, veel cafetjes/barretjes en 3 toeristische winkeltjes. Verder helaas erg weinig. Ruim 2 uur in dit dorpje is erg lang. In 20 minuten loop je er doorheen en heb je alles gezien.
Het ritje met de trein was mooier dan de eerste rit maar duurde erg lang. Het treintje is niet heel comfortabel.
Beide ritten zijn prima te doen zelf met een huurauto waarbij je sneller bent en meer tijd overhoud maar dan ook meer van de omgeving kan zien.

Un petit tour en train pour voir un petit village
Trop cher : 22 euros par personne
Cela permet juste de déjeuner sur une petite place sympa ..rien de plus !

Pak liever een auto of taxi

Tijdens onze vakantie 2 ritten met de happy train meegeweest.

Rit 1 Malia-Cherso, duur 1.5 uur.. zonde van het geld (12,- pp.) Treintje rijd met een flinke vaart 1 rechte weg langs winkels en door kleine vieze straatjes, zonder enige uitleg. Kan beter gaan lopen of een taxi nemen.

Rit 2 Malia - Mochos, duur ong.5.5uur.. deze rit was een stuk beter. Trein gaat de bergen in vanwaar je kan genieten van een mooi uitzicht, eenmaal in Mochos aangekomen stapt iedereen uit en krijg je een kleine rondleiding door het dorp. Waarna je zo'n 2 uur de tijd krijgt om iets in het dorp te ondernemen waarna je de toch met het treintje weer naar beneden maakt. Leuk om te doen al denk ik dat je met een taxi of huurauto wellicht goedloper uit bent.. (22,- pp.) Vind ik toch nog steeds redelijk aan de dure kant

Petit Train

Très bon petit tour de train dans les alentours de Malia et Chersonissos.

Le chauffeur que nous avons eu était très sympa, nous a même offert des bouteilles d'eau comme il faisait très chaud.

Dommage de ne pas avoir de commentaire sur ce que l'on pourrait traverser comme village ou lieu.

A lovely little jaunt

A lovely and easy way to see the area of Stalis in a hour and a half. Very reasonably priced. Longer trips are available but the heat put us off trying this.

Happy train is ok

We’ve done two trips on the happy train while staying in Stalis.

The first was a half day to a small mountain village Krasi. The village is charming.
5/5, totally worth it, we enjoyed the tour, learnt and saw a lot.
It was also nice to visit the olive factory.
The driver (and the guide) Konstantinos was very professional. That tour is highly recommended, also with children.

However the hour and a half round trip from Stalis to Hersonissos then round to Malia is nothing special at all. Neither pleasant nor exciting, nothing particular to see. You would end up with zero good photos, because the train doesn’t stop. No explanation is given. That tour is totally overpriced for what you get.

The Happy Train

We’ve done two trips on the happy train while staying in Stalis. The first was the hour and a half round trip from to Hersonissos then round to Malia. It was a pleasant enough trip but not particularly exciting, I wouldn’t want to stop for long in either place! The second trip was the half day to Krasi! This was a slow ascent to the village via the olive oil factory, with beautiful scenery along the way (and the odd goat). Once in the village we were given a short tour and then an hour and half to roam around. Plenty of time for a true Greek village experience or a meal in a local taverna. Thank you to Isabella at the ‘station’ and our driver Constantinos!
