We had a great and comprehensive experience. Salvatore and Andrea walked us through their extensive vegetable garden. Vegetables from their garden were used in our meal. We then walked to their facility on the shore of the harbor in Piano di Sorrento. Salvatore walked us through making gnocchi from scratch. He had everybody in the group shaping the gnocchi correctly in a remarkably short time. He also taught us to make our own dessert, tiramisu, Every member of the group did a stage of the tiramisu process. Salvatore and Andrea served us a bruschetta appetizer and marinated zucchini and eggplant Parmesan side dishes along with our gnocchi topped by a tomato, basil and eggplant sauce, made entirely with produce from their garden. Our tiramisu dessert course was accompanied by their homemade limoncello, made with home grown lemons. The atmosphere was both relaxed and a great learning experience. I recommend Cooking Mama highly! Salvatore and Andrea are so nice.
